Sure it ain't the fastest coaster, and it ain't got twelve thousand inversions of whiplash-inducing death but y'know not everyone's out there to be thrown around to the high hells. It's pretty smooth and comfortable, and the fact that they've had to keep it all below the treeline has its speed and thrill limits too. Even if it ain't the fastest or scariest, it's still a good ride based on their tight restrictions.. ;n;

John is a great innovator. Thirteen was not white knuckle but more family ride.  He is the master at white knuckle rides. Nemesis is the only ride to make me walk funny after riding. And i have ridden a lot of ones around world. Its very intense

i went on Air, and while it is good, dont believe the bullshit about flying. The guy in the video is exaggerating and just trying to promote the ride, it feels nothing like flying, jus feels like any other rollercoaster.

Last time I went to AT I went on Air 5 times, Nemmy 4 times, Blade 3 times, the Carousel, RMT, Rapids, Flume, Toadstool, Carousel...

Air's still my favourite, but the intensity of Nemmy is hard to beat. I hope it stays at AT forever :)

Went on it friday and started cueing at 1pm but as soon as i did it got stopped for technical probs. it restarted at 6pm and i cued for 1 1/2 hrs where it broke down a further 4 times. when i finally got on i was at the back and i was surprised that i wasnt that scared. will make sure im on the front next time. will be able to see better.

Been to both UK and US parks, and the more extreme US parks have the faster, higher, longer rides with generally shorter queues depending where you are. UK parks are disappointing after going to US ones.

But they were two different models. The B&M model had different harnesses, design, whole concept and wasn't a revitalised version of the Vekoma model. It was something new, it is now named the first B&M flying coaster.

technically air is not the the worlds 1st flying it was at granada studios called sky track, a single seatter flying coaster, dont believe what you hear about air on the internet,

but air is a great smooth coaster, forgot to mention granada studio tours clossed in 1999, about 2 years before alton towers openned air.

Air is the first 'B&M' flying coaster though. Alton Towers keep to the standards of world recognition,- Aerial Inversion Ride was John Wardley's last in my opinion before he makes his new 2013 ride. He's only a consultent to others (Th13teen)

I can give you some positives and negatives about this:

You are extremely unlikely to get an open position without a master degree in engineering, some commitment to the Film Industry and knowledge of Physics and maths. John Wardley simply thinks up the ride, it's up to the mechanics, engineers, architechts etc. to actually design the ride. He was in B&M for A I R. The good thing is that you can see how he makes the rides and become part of an enthusiast club and use simulators instead.

@saddoproductions Its not scary- just smooth (like you're gliding) and i throw up on dizzy things, i dont even feel ill at all on this ride! I just avoid spinny things- this isn't spinny at all so you will be fine!

The queue gets big because it breaks down so often, including when I was on it! If you're savvy though you know what order to do your rides in so you queue for the shortest time :)

I hate rollercoasters because when they go down it kills my tummy but my friends dragged me on air today and I was so scared but when I got on it, it wasn't scary at all(if you shut your eyes) it looks like a 6565864532654952362365 more times scarier than it actually is and doesnt have any big drops and seems like it only lasts for like half a minute if you dont really like rollercoasters I would definitely recommend it!
