This is actually the first season of 19 without the title! Liverpol were usurped by Arsenal this season. Also, in terms of Liverpool dominating United, well despite winning multiple titles it was United who domintated Liverpool throughout the 80's and early 90's with Liverpool only registering 4 wins to United's 10 between 79 and 90.
