@ubiff1234abc Find a restoration shop, there is one were I live, in Fairmont WV. So has to be one where you live some where... I dunno how much you want to spend, but they were going to charge me a arm and a leg just to fix up my 1996 formula.
@thehairytrio Unfortunately Pontiac is no longer in existence. They were eliminated in the 2008 bailout. Faulty financial practices and a string of bad cars led to them being folded under the carpet.
@claimedbyshadow666 who gives a fuck about the look? the 90's looked great. it was a fast car. my dad had a 79. mine isnt a ws6 and its still great. its more comfortable than a ws6 also.
@claimedbyshadow666 a 93 looks no different than a 94-97 which all look very good. most of the 80s trans ams were slow man...305 doesnt cut it. a late 70's trans am would beat it
realy nice video thanks for shareing it i currently am rebuilding a 79 trans am and this gives me all kinds of ideas good choice of music to go with it thanks again
derky i do stand corrected, i did forget about the 4.9 litre turbo,, however all the stats i could find put the horsepower rating in 1981 at 200... but nevermind that , thanx for the correction
cool video i enjoyed it.... lots of 79's in nice colors...the transam was a sweet car thru the 70,s until they ruined them and started putting small displacement motors in em.... i think the worst thing pontiac did was use the 4.9 litre turbo in place of the 6.6 olds or pontiac motor, that was the transam's demise... government destroyed a great car, insurance companies as well, by 1981 the most powerful transam had a 5.0 litre 145 horsepower engine ...
Old Trans Ams are sweet. Too bad GM cut Pontiac. They should of cut Buick instead. Trans Am version of the new Camaro would of been awesome. Hopefully one day they will bring Pontiac back.
im 13 and i am currently restoring a 76 T/A i love it to death my dads car from the day lol he had five four ran the four that ran including mine went threw a wall all were fixed thank god min has a 400 but a shitt 2.72 gearing piss on that! lolz
Yeah, there goes the government destroying the American car industry again with all their damn emissions laws. I don't understand why that led to 200 hp v8s that could be street machines! If they had let the designers give them the power they wanted these would no doubt be some of the fastest american muscle classics.
I second that motion. But I think u meant to say 2nd gens there were no 3rd gens in this video. As long as the designers stay true to the original shape it would be hot. Especially if they base it off the 70-75 yrs that don't have the wraparound rear window.
haha yes 2nd gen had a better look to them back then. It's no wonder the sales declined so much they strayed away from looking like a muscle car what looked like a Jap import.
