What happened there? I did the Road to Hana a month ago. AWESOME!!! WHAT???. Yeah,. Can't wait to go back. But the weather was perfect and the road was perfect.
This is so disrespectful. Just because you are stationed here does not mean you are from here. Don't try to pull the Iraq card. Be respectful of this beautiful place. If something is blocked off it means they don't want people going there!
This show's no respect for the laws of Hawai'i or to her people. It's the unsafe arrogant who are so used to getting their ways on the mainland that spoil the true meaning of Aloha. It's just sad that there is such a lack of respect.
Im not even from the mainland, Im stationed at Kaneohe bay marine corps base, serving this country, so dont tell me about not having respect, I have lived in Hawai'i for many years and respect the culture and the land. Its nice to know you think people who are in Iraq protecting YOU are arrogant! Get off your high horse, nobody or nothing got hurt or damaged, we drove over a fricken bridge, and look up the true meaning of Aloha cuz your not acting very "Aloha"!
Don't pull the Iraq card on me. I served my country well and with the up most respect. The U.S. involvement in Iraq isn't "protecting" anyone in the United States. Just as when I was overseas the mission was to protect the no-fly zones over the oil fields in Saudi. The Middle East engagment is more political than anything. Being from a military back ground as yourself, you should know the importance of safety, laws, roadblocks, and structured discipline.
@sabian49015 I totally agree. Also, just because someone has a 4X4 Jeep doesn't mean they have to use it. Even most tourists from the mainland have that much sense.
So you made it through the whole loop? isn't there a bridge that's supposed to be out preventing anyone from going all the way around? or was it not that bad?
Not sure why everyone is crying cause the rocks look like they have been placed in such a way to allow vehicles to cross over. Little common sense.
