  • Sorry...never mind. I did not see them switch positions.

  • That second FF should get fired. He did nothing to help his partner. Then he left. At the least get a second line on the fire. He was USELESS.

  • They didnt run around like a dept that rarely makes a call, they protected exposures and confined the fire, the didnt let it travel, they used the man power they had, all in all I though they did pretty well, We can always improve and we are learning. No one on here is a fire fighting expert. We all know it.

  • Never mind the hoselines jets etc how about fixing up your pants before you get there. Anyone who says this was good firefighting tactics is for certain an amateur. That was just a shambles.

  • How come in these videos where there is allot of BTUs I don't see anyone using that big thing on top of a fire engine that flows allot of water? Not arm chairing, just curious.

  • @FireCaptain2008 You're on the right track. GPM's gets rid of BTU's. This is a perfect fire for a deck gun, even if you only have a 500 gallon tank. You're going to get a quick knock down, which will greatly reduce the radiant heat endangering the exposures. Next engine gets you water as you stretch a handline for extinguishment.

  • Big fire..... Big line.... How about a 2 1/2?

  • A.F.F.F. would have been a little better on the nock down ...but still VERY WELL HANDLED good work and stay SAFE ......

  • A preconnect? you fuckin kidding me?

  • Despite the comments of the various expert tactical officers below, this was well handled. What would have been the outcome in the other cities represented by the comments below... fire contained to the building of origin and exposures protected? OH WAIT... that's what these guys did !!! Give it a rest people. We all have our own protocols and procedures. No one would have done any better or worse, despite what your egos may be telling you. Good job boys, well done.

  • nice video!... as far as im concerned yall did well, if its an isolated building put the 1 1/2 on the exposures and pull a 3 for a direct attack, yall werent gonna salvage anything so just drench that guy. that fire sure was hungry!

  • Really. In Baltimore we would have went straight to a blitz line ANd had this knocked in like 10 minutes. Not to mention our whole box asignment would have been on scene ready to go

  • @DamianWinston for some strange reason Minneapolis doesn't have as many fires as Baltimore, I guess we don't feel the urge to torch our city!

  • @mackie252007 LLs u right about that. We had a complete burnout yesterday in the middle of a thunderstorm

  • dumb cunts using a garden hose...wtf...

  • This thing could have been knocked down in less than a minute had they pulled the portable master stream right away.

  • BIG fire BIG water..I'm just sayin.you back up your 1 3/4 with another 1 3/4?

  • BIG fire BIG water..I'm just sayin.

  • @mookieafd114 not always this fire could use a 21/2 or 3 thats enough to knock down

  • If I were captain on that engine, and we had a water supply I would have put the deck gun into operation immediately.

  • Another example. Small town, or metro city. WTF ever happned to pulling the right size line for the job? Clearly enough fire for portable monitor or the deuce and a half. My understanding was always to try to contain, control, and extinguish the fire as quickly as possible. This undersized line isn't doing anything.

  • JUST USED A 2-1/2

  • lol look at him trying to handel that hose by em self.
