  • Bet he's thinking "Damn man, wish the boys will hurry up and get me out of here so I can enjoy a nice cold one and some buffalo wings"

  • "After a long day of fighting off Hyenas and patrolling the area from enemies im tired kids, honey come get the kids!"

  • epic beard

  • He's just a big softie

  • The best daddy!

  • Great daddy. Love is strong body & gentle.

  • Wheres your mother, daddy needs a nap.

  • It beats patrolling the area for hyenas and other enemy.

  • @ace50105010 Not anymore mush ha ha ha ha troll dislike!!!!

  • he looks so majestic

  • I watched this cause i finished watchin tha lion king :3

  • Such a touching video of a family afternoon at the Shamwari.

  • 'Simba, I killed Mufasa"

  • This guy is not old at all. His nose is just barely turning dark, so he's between 4-6. His canines are still slim, white, & sharp, unlike the older males who have yellow, bigger & duller looking canines. His mane, too, will turn darker, as he ages.

Most big males don't tolerate small unruly cubs; but this guy is an extremely tolerant young father. Even with one cub gnawing his back & another one jumping at & clawing his face, he merely closed his eyes & turned his face an inch.

  • FIRST VIDEO ON YOUTUBE WITH NO DISLIKE

  • tolerance

  • I think he's just too old to carelol

  • retired senior granpalion, not much to do anymore ,just relaxing with grandcubs

    cub 1: beating dad up

cub 2: hey can i join???

cub 1: yeaaa lets get em

cub 3: hey i wanna come to???

    dad:-yawns- here we go

    lol love lions!

  • @plumeria66 he certainly is a buffalo-taker downer LOL

  • Father, guard, patroller, fighter, buffalo-take downer, and at the end, he gets ousted by a younger, stronger lion to die alone.

  • @plumeria66 ... you do realise he did the same thing? taking out the old male lion? they cant feed a giant beast ... when he cant fight he is one less mouth to feed.

  • “before sunrise he’s your son”

  • that's a smart and gentle lion with his offspring!

  • lions are so amazing!

  • Hermosa imagen familiar!!!

  • If that's playing, I'd love to see him relaxing.

  • He is not babysitting, there was an adult female right next to the cubs.

Lol, the one on the back is not taking anything from his sibblings, he is like NO! NO! this is my back, my back.

  • cute

  • Lol He lets them do whatever :)

  • females must be off hunting..father has to baby sit..cubs could'nt be any safer

  • That one cub is bound and determined to cause some damage lol I love lions

  • i think he's too old to try to eat these little ones and just tolerates their jumping on him due to being old and tired.

  • This is so beautiful <3

  • He's not playing with them, but he is still a good daddy XD I mean, they're jump on his back/head and he just chill...^^

  • he has a receding hairline messin with these kids...

  • he just smoked a joint to deal with the kids

  • The male lion is so lazy he won't even play around with his cubs

  • mufasa on babysitting duty.

  • Well actually he is not doing anything lol

  • HE REMINDS ME OF MUFASA!! AND SUCH A GOOD DADDY !!

  • Mufasa

  • he's not playing, he's chillin out

  • When Papa yawns, it makes me want to say: Here kitty kitty!

  • His nose also does not look fully pigmented which is another sign of age...

  • No he does not look that old... Lion manes come in all shapes and colours, if anything this is the mane of a young lion - still light and hasn't come in fully yet. The full dark mane comes with age and it looks in good condition, not matted or thin in places that he has it. His ears are also in good conditions, no large nicks or cuts and he does not have that many scars, an old lion would usually have a lot more, deeper cuts and scars around the face and body. His coat looks clean.

  • Awww reminds me of the Lion King but with more cubs :)

  • he looks old like its their grandad. lol.

  • O_O Lions are the best..... They are amazing.

  • Awww,....... he is such a loving care daddy indeed xxxox

  • So much for "playing"

Allthough that lion seem to remind me of some hollywood actor, cant remember his name though.

  • hes seems old o;

  • Just watching the kids while mom's out getting dinner.

  • He's so fucking old.

  • @knifeofspaghetti and what makes you think that??

  • @TheDreamForgotten Unhealthy-looking patches in mane & facial fur.

  • MALE LIONS ARE FUCKIN SICK!!!! XD SO BADASS

  • can i put it as my screen saver?

  • perhaps the most badass dad on earth!

  • Happy Father's Day.;..

  • I wonder what his thinking about.

  • @MrBinieam could have used f***in condom..

  • he's beautiful

  • I don't understand why people are so shocked by his attitude. These are his cubs. Male lions are very protective and even nurturing with their own. Yes there are times when the cubs get too hyper and the dads want to be left alone (like any parent), but they're actually very good fathers.

  • LOL, I love his face @0:52 kind of like "sigh...take them away... plz...."

  • And this is why Lions are better then tigers when do you ever see another Male cat do that Tigers, Leopard's, Jaguars etc they're all great cats but the lion is awesome

  • QUE TIERNO

  • such graceful creatures!

  • He's a young male 2 maybe 3 look at his mane just starting to grow mohawk now give him a couple of years a full thick mane he will have, so attentive to his youngsters lol

  • Just love it soooooooo family

  • Hail to you good sir.

  • you can tell hes a wise old male by all the battle scars on him

  • I seriously wish I was part of their family:)

  • at least he's not trying to kill them

  • 0:45 WTF!? Couldn't he bite tree with that mouth!?

  • he is good dady like me

  • look at the battle scars on his face, he's been through IT!!!!!!!! His presence alone is overprotection for his little cubbies.

  • beautiful vidio

  • wow i just saw lioness killing her own cub O_O

  • @roXy3tiger Lions never kill theyr own cubs, maybe cubs from a diferent pride

  • @repulsifik but she had thise 3 cubs and then she tryed to carry them away from elephant and then she took one and licked him and then ate him!

  • @roXy3tiger these are unusual cases, if this was normal lions would be extinct. (sorry for my bad english)

  • deking degod fader

  • The women must be out hunting so he's stuck baby sitting LOL

  • 0:42 He looks like he's saying "Steady now little guy..." XD A lot more male lions are tolerant of cubs than people think. :)

  • MUFASA :D

  • This was very peaceful and serene. The male lion was so tolerant! Just beautiful!

  • Stay at home dad watches the babies while mommy goes to work to bring home the bacon. WOW!, that feminist spirit has even affected the animal kingdom!

  • @sourheartroasie not really. daddy also goes to hunt, but the bigger ones when help is needed. and most importantly daddy's there to fight off other daddy-wanna-be male lions , something feminines fail to do :) you get it ? :p

  • @nazirdjon: Yes, got it!!!! Great video.

  • lol, male lion tolerates cubs!

  • that big guy is stylin with that hair do hahaha

  • Stay at home dad watches the babies while mommy goes to work to bring home the bacon.

  • He looks extremely fit and strong. Exceptionally tolerant of his cubs, too, as most males won't allow cubs climbing all over him like this. Lions cut each other on the face all the time, when feeding, so the marred face is a typical male one. But this guy's mane is still mostly tawny color, not too dark yet, so he has about 2 years to go. Most of his cubs should be old enough to fend for themselves in 2 years...

  • whats sad is that he looks like he's just out of his prime and these are his last cubs, if he defends his pride long enough for them to mature that is...

  • uhh don't you mean cubs playing with male lion???

  • Comment removed

  • Perfect <3 :)

  • kings life

  • very good daddy

  • This video should be retitled... Male Lion Barley Tolerates Cubs at Shamwari!

  • @Gooseman2k2 Or "Cubs playing on Male Lion at Shamwari"

  • Lions are awesome, he's a good daddy :)

  • @swizzbeats1212 Chances are, he killed the cubs of the last pride owner. :o

  • Male lions usually have short fuse around cubs. Lion in this video is just so patient with cubs.

    He is a good Daddy!

  • @MrPallekishore I thinks it's because this is the REAL LIFE Mufasa ! lol
