  • In my case, Liquipel didn't fully protect my iPhone, it now has some water damaged. Even after 5 days of drying time, the battery connector, speaker, wireless antenna, LED flash, and some other parts still aren't working. The only way to turn it on is to plug in the power connector. I've took my iPhone back to Liquipel headquarter and they failed to fix my iPhone. They noticed that the water indicator sticker turned red, so it voided my warranty. I'll make a video about it soon.

  • Dude U AINT SNAZZY geek.

  • because of u quinn, i think im going try this XD... thx for ur info, always love ur vids

  • @Reaperex123 YOU DON'T SAY ????

  • Oh come on! It resembles wax?

  • yay now i can watch videos on YouTube as i shower

  • It's just a super-hydrophobic coating. If you drop your phone, and there is a scuff, it is no longer water RESISTANT. This coating does not water proof anything.I have seen an iPhone boiled here on youtube, yes it will work underwater with no case, this stuff is BS.

  • @frosted1030 It coats the inside of your phone too, meaning that when you scuff off the outer layer, the inside of your phone is still protected and will still work.

  • @urquhart77 And how would you know that? Have you seen any real world tests? All I see is an impressive demo, but nothing was said about scuff/impact resistance.

  • @frosted1030 Check the liquipel website. They specifically say that it coats the phone inside and out. Considering the inside of your phone can't be scuffed off without taking it apart, it will last a long time. (Getting the outside of your phone wet doesn't matter at all, it's the components on the inside that are the concern)

  • is it safe to do this to your own body

  • @Jtran64 hahahahahahaa

  • @Jtran64 lmfao

  • so how about the plug in areas? (headphone jack & charger/usb hole) these holes do receive some rubbing right? may it actually wear off with long time use?

  • do it on you and u can just walk in the heaviest rain

  • Can I take my iPhone more than 2 meters underwater with this?

  • @HAsoNrEaUL HzO which is exactly like this can only go 3 feet underwater. So I doubt it can go much further then 3 feet under and it's probably risky to leave it submerged long or often. If you want to go more then 2 meters get a lifeproof case. Their guaranteed to go 2 meters underwater and pressure tested for 10 feet before they leave the company.

  • @MrGriffen666 Thanks.

  • CAN I SEND IN MY BEATS BY DR DRE HEAD PHONES ??? J.A

  • @kidFlash808 Wow. You really bought Beat by Dr Dre? What a moron.

  • @Hiei102493 it was a gift from my Dad when i graduated High School Moron #fucking_idiot

  • i saw a

similar thing like this that is used on shoes.

  • 9gag army... incoming.

  • Canu use it underwater if u have waterproof headphones

  • Definitely getting this done!

  • Wait if I put this on my shoes, could I then walk on water, and create my jesus rep?

  • @thatsnazzyiphoneguy will they make this type of coating for cars/clothing/people? An amazing technology.

  • @PhrikaPhresh There's a bunch of clothing available with hydrophobic coatings. I personally own a hoodie and jeans with a similar coating (except their more water resistant/repellent then waterproof).

  • Well this is a total ripoff considering all mobile devices have EARPHONE HOLES/CHARGING HOLES and guess what? If water is able to go through there it goes inside the damn thing which means it would be fried!

  • @RyanPeslak Didn't you hear anything? LIQUIPEL IS A COATING THAT COVERS EVERYTHING. So water isn't actually touching anything.

  • So this is 100 percent waterproof?!!

  • wait what does this do exactly?

  • This plus a rugged case like the otter box or life proof = invincibility.

  • i now know how Jesus walked on water

  • whats there website?

  • @pinkflyingscorpians They must have said liquipel.com a half dozen times in the video!! Jeez. Pay attention!

  • thats awesome haha

  • As Far as Heat Goes.....

Does the Device get its circulation cut off or does the iPhone not need to be cooled with airflow?

  • DO WANT!

  • incredible technology but one thing that I question is do they not coat the contacts for the 40pin?

Otherwise it would need to be conductive which would add crosstalk between traces etc

  • That would be good on my windshield!

  • Can you like dunk this underwater?

  • @iCouldAppThat Yep.

  • hydrophobic coating, like that shoe spray?

  • dude thats so friken sick the water just hovered holy shit i want this

  • how the heck does this work???? the headphone jack and everything still works!?!?!?!? I AM TOTALLY GETTING THIS! :D

  • Does the process void apple's warranty on the iphone?

  • Amazing breakthrough technology. Going to try this.

  • All for $60??? That's the insane part. It works, it's extremely minimal and has a stellar price tag. The only thing is, will it void the Apple warranty?

  • My brother has this on his phone....it's sweet!

  • i wonder if i can coat my t-shirt that would be amazing

  • so i can technically throw my iphone/ipod into a pool and not only the outside but the inside as well is water proof? thats freaking sick and well worth the 60$... 2 questions though does the screen feel weird or different? like it has a screen shield and would this in any way void apple warranties?

  • what if you did it to a suit then put the suit on and jumped in a pool?

  • EPIC INTRO..... <3

  • how bulky will that make your phone? and will it work with cases ?

  • @BlakeSharp1 The coating is a few nanometers. Your device will look exactly the same. Zero bulk added. Yes, it will work with every case.

  • @BlakeSharp1 It won't make any diffrence in the dimensions of your phone, and it will work with any case. It's so cool.

  • @BlakeSharp1 wow your dumb. RETARD

  • @BlakeSharp1 It will look 1/100th the width of your hair thicker all around

  • Will it void the warranty?

  • does it make the touch of the phone different? like the outside woud it make it rough?

  • OMG, I LOVE THIS NEW INTRO!! =)

  • I saw their promo video on YouTube a couple months ago and was blown away. It's amazing how far nanotechnology has become to allow us to do things like this.

  • that is amazing! I want to do it!

  • :trolldad:

  • I want thaaaaaat!!!!!!! Btw, if i'm from mexico i can send my phone? xD Also, if I have a screen protector should I take it off when sending it?

  • So if i put my iPhone underwater will it die or will it stay working

  • If this actually works the way its shown on their site, its the greatest tech breakthrough in years. No reason it should not work on pretty much anything.

  • I want one of those tissues. I could get rich just from saying "Hey! Want to bet that you cant make this tissue wet?" Muhahaha

  • bwa bwa bwa wha

  • So cool. Would have saved my ass.

  • this company gas been selling these for awhile now, i just didnt know whether or not it was legit.

  • I want to mind fuck someone at a pool party, BELLY FLOP. Then take underwater pics with an iphone.

  • WoW !! The potential for this service, The idea is sound, From what i have seen of this coating it's amazing. Can't wait to see you review this on your device's ;)

  • This would be a good for birth control, you know coating your.....thingy with it, eh yeah you know what i mean. but for real that is amazing.

  • found out that they do it for the thunderbolt I think I will buy this product it amazing

  • holy o.o thats so cool :D

  • these companies charging 30,40,50 bucks for their shitty plastic $5 cases should be ashamed of themselves, this is a real product at a fair price.

  • Great video Quinn! Love this product.

  • If it's interesting to watch you should totally post a vid of it being treated. That would be awesome.

  • This is insanely crazy! Deff stoping by tomorrow!

  • The Liquipel worker looks so bored... it's a turn off...

  • hey quinn, i really wanna get this but i just wondering, with this on could i use my iPhone as an underwater camera in my pool?

  • The Insides and out? All the relays and everything? Thats amazing...

  • @radar3699 Nuts, huh?! They seal this stuff in a vacuum chamber and it literally prevents water from getting into any ports. It blows my mind every time I see it. Can't wait to do it to my own iPhone. You will surely be getting a thorough test!

  • @ThatSnazzyiPhoneGuy looks interesting. The Droid RAZR is supposed to have something like this on its components. Wonder if it is the same company. Looking forward to see your review.

  • @ThatSnazzyiPhoneGuy Any more of this kinda stuff and I can see a coming-up app for scuba-divers to bring their iDevices to the fishes... ;)

  • @radar3699 @ThatSnazzyiPhoneGuy was wrong, it doesnt prevent water from going into ports, they said on their company channel water can flow through your phone, it just doesnt directly touch the phone because of the super thin coating.

  • that is sooo sick

  • Can't they just do it on all devices.

  • new youtube player thing`?

  • Also, the intro music is a tad too loud...

  • WHEEEEEEEWWWW!

  • lol its 3am in the morning XD

  • if they can do it to a tissue they can do it to a cowon j3 right? lol

    and also. FIRST!!!!!!!! :D

  • @kingkurosaki1 Technically yes; however, they only support a short list of devices. On their Web site, they have a list of gear you can send in to have them coat it.
