My voice teacher, Clifford Bair, studied with Witherspoon. Witherspoon published a book of singing that went out of print 60 years ago. Witherspoons teacher was Lamperti. It doesn't sound like it but Witherspoon was a bass. Thank you for posting this recording. I have played it for Bair's widow. She never heard him sing.
