theme of this movie is really good. Nandita, maria wasti and rashid farooqi has done a good job. Tempo is a bit slow and end of the movie could be even better. Anyway its a good attempt by mehreen jabbar and should be appreciated.

If u have seen the movie in you tube and enjoyed it, you would be surprised to know that the movie shown in Pakistan did not have the scene where maulvi (Naseeruddin Shah) defends Islam and denounces terrorism in the court scene. A lot of mullahs in Pakistan could not take the criticism. There was a lot of debate and that scene (the most vital in that movie with some amazing active by Shah) was deleted.

This is an awesome movie. I came upon it by accident on you tube - WOW! What a lucky mistake on my part. Nandita Das as Champa is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. She is stunning!!! I am in love!!! Also the scenery is very interesting and the colors of the fabrics etc. just woke up my eyes. I will look for other Pakistani films to watch and learn from any suggestions would be appreciated. I also enjoy Indian films very much and have seen dozens. Beat U.S. made films easily!!!!
I really enjoyed this movie. Reminded me a bit of Roberto Benini'sLife is Beautiful. I loved that it was about a subject very little cinematicaly explored: Pakistan.

If u have seen the movie in you tube and enjoyed it, you would be surprised to know that the movie shown in Pakistan did not have the scene where maulvi (Naseeruddin Shah) defends Islam and denounces terrorism in the court scene. A lot of mullahs in Pakistan could not take the criticism. There was a lot of debate and that scene (the most vital in that movie with some amazing active by Shah) was deleted.
Pakistanis may want to debate here why that scene was deleted.

This is an awesome movie. I came upon it by accident on you tube - WOW! What a lucky mistake on my part. Nandita Das as Champa is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. She is stunning!!! I am in love!!! Also the scenery is very interesting and the colors of the fabrics etc. just woke up my eyes. I will look for other Pakistani films to watch and learn from any suggestions would be appreciated. I also enjoy Indian films very much and have seen dozens. Beat U.S. made films easily!!!!
