  • Nice !

  • Very well made video. I never would have thought of the scotch bright pad!

  • very nice, good job. very crafty.

  • and it looks amazing :D

  • WOW just done this on my iphone 3GS an

  • The iPhone 4 is going to be brushed metal!!

  • Were you able to get the part of the bezel on the face of the phone or is this only for the sides? How's it holding up?

  • i have really invisible little scratches and im mad and bothered coz i have some scratches on my dsi too btw they are invisible soo little wat can i do help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i will sub if you give me the best solution! :) :,( can i use this on the back of my cell phone i have a samsung comeback help me plz!!!!!!!!

  • 9:10 hahaha phone sex

  • and wahts with the chrome buttons?

    you brush it too??????

  • do you think this can void your warranty?

  • you should just use common sense and use metal polish and a good cloth will make it look like brand new. do it all the time to mine when scratched. it even works on the black back with small scratches. it works because its got micro particles in and just slightly buffs away the scratches. it will even get rid of the brushed effect you've just gave it by doing whats in the vid

  • I'm sorry but it is not a lack of common sense. I know I could have used a metal polish or RadTech's Bezel Blaster or any other number of products. I chose to hide the scratches by brushing the bezel. You do it once and it is done. If I used a metal restorer I would have to do it every other month. On top of that I knew I would like the brushed bezel better & when it was finished I did like it much better brushed. To me the common sense thing is brushing it - do it once & your done!

  • Thanks i did it on my 3g it work !!! It looks great and don't take many time

  • ah nice one! im doing this to my itouch right now :) i liked the comparison at the end, its something a lot of the other tutorials for this didn't have! something i really needed to see before i did this to mine! THANKS! :D

  • or you could just use radtechs bezel blaster

  • True, but at the time Radtech didn't have the bezel blaster.

  • @BrickSh0t7 Ya that is true...But thats a good substitute

  • wont a pad like that just make long marks along the bezel? yes it does remove the lil scratches but ur wife's phone still have that brand new shine chrome look while urs dont

  • Her phone has a Body Guardz on it. That is why her's is so shiny still.

  • Yeah. They should just start out with brushed aluminium. Same on the itouch. They should make the backs the same as like the nanos

  • They should really make the iphone bezel and back plastic with some other more scratch resistant material (or something that hides it really well like a matte or brushed finished).

  • it looks better when scrubed....i got mine yesterday and alredy did that...lol..thanks for the vid

  • You should of just used the radtech bezel blaster

  • gr8!

  • Think i'll do this tomorrow.

  • where did you buy those pads. . and does the bezel still have luster. or is it just dull

  • it didnt work!

  • Try something more abrasive.

  • abrasive in what way and i used what you used

  • amazing amazing amazing amazing!!!!awsome love it great idea

  • i like the brushed metal better i might do that to mine

    thanks for the vid

  • great vid !

  • Does it void your warrenty

  • Nope. I have actually taken the phone in this video to Apple for a blown speaker and they swapped it no problems.

  • depends on who you talk too, but most of the apple employees at my store are pretty nice about this kind of stuff, cus theres really no way scratching your aluminum bezel is going to cuase anything to break that the warrentee would fix.

  • ritgh is very better.

  • 08:55 that what she said lamo

  • awesome video

  • omg its amazing im going to do that to my phone right now !!:D great vid !

  • hey, do you think i could use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser as the abrasive? Let me know!

  • does this void the warrenty?

  • i dont think so because all your doing is "scratching" the phone ;)!by the way awesome vid!

  • It doesn't. I have recently had to take my phone back to Apple and it had the brushed look. I still got a replacement phone :)

  • Could you brush the Apple logo in he back? Without damaging the black/white finish?

  • Awesome video! I wonder how it would look if I did this with my white iPhone.

  • do you think it will look good if i brush the entire back of the ipod touch 2g?

  • lmfao it probably would if you do it right.

  • does it still scratch?

  • two iphones haha

  • when you put the tape it looks like a white iphone

  • Kermit the Frog... lol.

  • nice maybe brushed will be factory on next iphone

  • I have scratches on my Iphone 3g, but I'm going to try to buy me a spare and install it. I think it is easy.

  • ya cool, i have a 2g and i have used it so much it's naturally brushed itself

  • Haha

  • Looks awesome! If you have time you should post some close up photos :-)

  • Great attention to detail. Way to go man.

  • My buttom is also bad :/

  • niceee video..its good to see someone has the balls to do this mod. i personally like the shiny bezel i just wish i could get rid of my scratches. CHECK out my PAGE

  • Holy Nerds Batman!!!

  • i loved the screen protector vid and this one is really cool cause like u im really scratched up so im thinking about doing this in the future its a nice little mod

  • I actually like this look substantially more than the polished look.

    Great video!

  • Cool trick to remove the scratches!

Hey Jeff, I've been thinking of using chrome polish paste or liquid for automobile to remove the scratches and still keep the shiny of the bezel.

I don't know if it is works or not, because my bezel still flawless.

    Thanks for another great video!!!

  • wow looks really nice

  • Great review Jeff, I would be sooo scared to do that to my iphone, but it looks really nice.

  • That's so cool lol..

  • AMAZING!

  • wow very nice very nice =D

  • very nice vid , I saw already a tut for this on internet but never on youtube ! thank you so much ! How about polishing the back of the iPhone ??? I 've got alot of sctrach :(

  • WOW, AMAZING! video! thank you so much

Personally, I don't like the look of the brushed chrome, but honestly, it's alot better then having a scuffed up shiny chrome! I definitely will use this, but currently my chrome is mint condition because I wrap it with tape :D

  • i fi did this to my ipod touch, could i also do the entire back, i have the 2g. i think that would look pretty sick

  • u already did it?

  • no, maybe soon though

  • looks like aluminum

  • hmm why the hell would you want to do that to ur IPHONE..ya brushed metal looks very cool..if they made the Iphone that way...

  • looks very nice. i hope to see some more upclose shots of your iphone. 5/5

  • maybe a dremel tool would make this easier

  • Wayyyy too much power.

  • is it possiable to do this on the chrome back of an ipod touch 1g or 2g? could u doa tutroial for an ipod

  • You could do it on the back of one, but I don't have an ipod touch to do a tutorial with. Sorry.

  • do u know if it would work and look good?

and if the original engravins (like the apple logo, etc) will still show up?

  • great vid!

  • thats a pretty good video Jeff, you always bring up great stuff

  • Still debating on whether or not I should do this to my iPhone or my iPod touch. What do you guys think?

  • I have had mine done for 4 months. Regret it I do not!

  • wow you're making me want to do this! i think i may during my week off. looks so much better! great vid jeff.

lol imagine a brushed ipod nano, the whole back brushed

  • the razor blade made me cringe but it does look great. Nice job man.

  • Great video man, that has a real nice look to it. When mine gets as scratched up as yours was, I'll probably try this.

  • put a song on when you fast forward.

  • Copyright issues dude. I am trying to go for partner so I can't do that.

  • niceee

  • That looks amazing!! I plan to sell mine in a year or two, so im not going to do anything that will make less people buy it. Do you think this will attract more, or less buyers?

  • hehe, Ice Cream makes it easier! lmao

  • your braver than me lol no way id put a razor blade to my precious iphone lol

  • Wow ur chrome really was scratched up that, was it a case that did that? Awesome job, looks much better now.

  • i have no nicks or scratches no idea why i havent, think maybe its cause i only like silicone cases, i have 9 cases lol a few are hard cases

  • wow jeff first kailbreak now this... !! XD

i like the results though! :)

  • OMG! It's like anti-glare for chrome bezel! GREAT JOB JEFF! I'm going to do this once the new iPhone comes out. It'll be my project phone :)

  • this looks like something i might do man thanks for making this video i am sure it helped a lot of people

  • this tutorial was awesome man, really nice job!

  • That is way cool. I've actually never thought of that but now that I've seen yours I'm really liking that look. My chrome is still good, a few minor scratches but I may do this anyway. Another great video Jeff!

  • the flat brushed look is so very clean!! shiny surfaces that have a mirrored effect (chrome) show to many flaws if not kept.

id rather have peace of mind then sexy sexy chrome that needs upkeep. the headache is too much.

  • i like that look - but you have so much more patience then i do

  • Good job. I'm actually thinking of doing this. I like that look.

  • kool

  • this looks awesome. i think i'll do this on my 3rd gen ipod nano b4 i try my iphone just to get a good idea of it. this is relly sick tho good job!!

  • sweet man

  • i really like the brushed look and it would save alot of headaches everytime you notice another little scratch lol

  • kool jeff!!

  • nice job Jeff!

Can you do mine now? LOL

  • Nice job, looks much better!

  • Awesome job Jeff it does look very nice. However, I would not have the patience for something like that. I'd just through a case on it to cover the blemishes.

  • Welcome to the club again LOL! Great video as always Jeff, very informative. Keep it Up! and ill catch you on twitter!

  • wow great vid man i am totally going to do that now...omg u rock JEFF!!!-AK2G

  • that was pretty sweet...will probably do it too once my chrome gets scratched up

  • Transitions could have been done a little bit better but overall really nice video! I really like how that turned out. If my ipod touch 2g gets scratched up I might consider doing this. Nice video!

  • Yeah, I had to cut about an hour of footage into 10 minutes. I also had to keep reworkiing it about 10 times since the first program (WMM) was being a pain. I am just happy that its done.

  • I really like the brushed look. as the little nicks on the chrome bug me allot

  • man that's a ballsy move lol :) looks alot better though

  • thanks a lot man this helped ;)

  • Had a hard time understanding what was going on at first, but wow, that was really nice, if my phone ever does get scuffed a lot, im deffinetly doing this, thanks man.

  • cool vid
