This scene always got me choked up. Just to see how much confidence John had in the island and all the love and affection gone down in a single night. It's a really heartbreaking scene.
@bradTheGible That's the problem. Nedry wasn't responsible, he just showed the flaws in the system. There is no way to maintain control over these creatures. You can either be safe from them or exposed to them, there's no middle ground. The dream cannot come true.
That description is dead-on, I DID feel a sense of sadness and guilt when I saw all those products which had so much work put into them, which are no never gonna be sold.
I guess it reflects off of the fact that Hammond thought the park would work so well, and people would love the park. Which of course they would have done, if it wasn't for Nedry.
@IfinduIgetu The reason I liked those lines so much ("...when we have control again--"
"YOU NEVER HAD CONTROL! THAT'S THE ILLUSION!") is because it so effectively illustrates how many of us approach life. God used that scene to show me that too many people try too hard to maintain control in their lives and, as a result, cause themselves even bigger problems.

@secret1service it's the themesong by John Williams. It could be "A tree for my bed" by John Williams.
