A lot of times Rome pretends not to like certain topics. I don't think he wants bum smack on his show, but I think even he would agree that some of the e-mails about it are pretty funny. There have even been times where Rome will start out laughing about something and then rant about it, because he knows it's funny. See Carl in Rosemead for instance.
Also, I don't think he fired Travis Rodgers. I think T-Rodg is moving onto bigger ventures.
I'm really worried about Rome's show. He fired Travis Rodgers, KB sucks, and he routinely gets rid of the things that make his show great (ie bum smack, drug test, etc).
Rome always says he does more work than anyone on radio, but its HIM who's relying on his audience to come up with the bulk of his new material week after week.
I hope Rome retires or changes direction of his show soon. He's already far off his peak, and if he goes more PC and corporate, it will be a big shame.
Agreed. Back in the day the show was great when he was taking alot of calls and the clones were getting off about the bad callers and sending in a ton of emails. Callers have to be developed and he rarely takes calls anymore. The reason for the freakin smackoff is the CALLERS. Also affiliate news used to be a big deal back in the day and hasn't been in about 8+ years. More of him and less of the clones has been a bad thing for the show.

The guy that wrote it should be a writer for a TV comedy. That was absolutely the funniest thing I've heard in months.
