That work really well!
It is best to use deioned water or distilled water.
Car baterry water is very good. Make sure it does ot contain any additive but only water.
I have seen on several website people sayting you can distilled your water by just boiling it. This is not true unless your water vapours condensate in an other vessel (all the ions, lime scale,... do not boil at 100°C)
