no, its actually running perfectly. the gauge was a bit funky for a while being the sensor was pretty old. Holds steady right below middle exactly how it was made to.
Thanks for the concern though, I actually rebuilt both heads on that because the previous mechanic didn't replace the torque stretch head bolts causing a blowout on the head gasket.

I think its running hot I bit , check hoses or thermostat.mine was like that before I blew the heads
