  • he looks a little big for 130 lol

  • exact same thing happened to me

  • lol theres this one kid at me school, a kid lifted him to slam him, and he twisted around like a fucking ninja turtle and that fool who tried to slam him ended up with broken ribs

  • @thomasguitar5 shut the heck up

  • why is it illegal? looks like a single leg takedown

  • I think u should be able to take down your opponent any way you can with a slam. For me becuz i have asthma I have to get takedownz quick before my asthma getz in the way so i like doubloe leg takedownz and i lift them as high as i can but itz not fair i cant slam them.... If they wanted to be in wrestling they should be ready to take a slam.......

  • 130?? tht guy doing all the slams is in epic shape and condition for a 130,, bet u had fun with all them scrawny kids

  • damn, that was fucking sick, I don't care if that was illegal, that was the coolest thing I've seen in a wrestling match.

  • holy frig that was an amazing escape at the beginning O_O

  • shouldn't be illegal

  • what kinda 130lb ers tie up..? im 135 and the kids are usually sticks.

  • i would do it once knowing it was illegal just to show the nigga whats up

  • I just had a wrestling meet yesterday and i got DQ because f slamming but mine aint look as bad as yours lol

  • Thats what he gets for wearing tights under his singlet

  • damn nice slam i dont think it should have been illegal though....fucken zebras

  • @garwoodashton it was illegal

  • The guy in shorts simply has more balls, the other guy seems to have been raised by his mother.

  • shit. nice escape.

  • in wrestling slams are not aloud because it hurts them ive got in troble for it its stupied

  • @Skimmerboy2 thanks we didnt know that. nice spelling btw.

  • like a high c to a slam

  • Man this is the old days! Halo headgear!

  • How do you make that slam legal? Do you have to have some sort of wrist control?

  • @spearstrike211 your knees have to touch the mat before their body so it is more "controlled"

  • @spearstrike211 your knees have to touch the mat before their body so it is more "controlled" and you can't leave the mat, and jump with it.

  • thats what he gets for wearing leggings...fucking prick

  • exactly what happened to me, unluckily i was the one whos ribs were broken

  • Actually it looked like at the last second you were trying to keep it legal by getting your knees down first, but his back hit first. If your knees had hit the mat before he slammed down it's not supposed to be an illegal move, However, it's still the refs call and depending on how high the other kid bounced might have still been called illegal. Looks like you were out wrestling him anyway and didn't really need to get that extreem, but wrestling is not for the weak.

  • ya i think that kid should be DQ'd just for the leggings xD but man he gets the crap kicked outta him

  • people who wear leg tights for wrestling should be slammed.

  • Did he really suck that bad that you needed to try and stack him?

  • he deserved it for wearing spandex under his singlet

  • How is this illegal? if you look at this in slow-mo @ 0.36, his right knee is touching the mat simulatnously as he takes dow his opponent. I thought in scholastic wrestling rules, you can slam your opponrnts as long as one knee is on the mat...

  • @boiprof u don't know anything about wrestling do u dum ass fuck

  • you are very aggressive lol, but with alot of technique unlike some.

  • had the same thing happen to me (the one between 30 and 40 seconds), broke 3 ribs

did the worst sprawl ever to try and avoid it O_O

  • Wow..you slammed him to hard...in wrestling....that sounds like saying you ran to fast in football...wth its a slam..its suppose to hurt, if you submit a guy...your hurting him..if your cranking on his neck..its going to hurt. Your trying to win not play ass grab all day

  • R U JOKING?!?!?!? THAT WAS A PUSSY ASS SLAM AND 6 MINUTES OF MY LIFE WASTED!!!! IVE SEEN SHIT SLAMBED HARDER BY GREAT GREAT GRABDPA AND HE'S ONLY GOT 2LEGS!!!

  • niceee fuckin stand up in the end....way to work.....but i cant imagine that slam broke his ribs....it was nice nonetheless =) lol

  • well that is what u get when u wrestle a kid who looks like he droped down from 160-170

  • nice slam bro i am gonna tryout in highschool i am lightweight lol

  • @batmankid45 If you're in Middleschool, try trying out for your Middleschool. I did and I'm going to HS next year, and I'm still going to wrestle all the way through 12 grade and "maybe" college.

  • it was 130lbs

  • @krons32 this is 130?? holy shit! these are big 130s

  • @krons32 Holy shit. I'm 130 pounds.

  • @krons32 ur way to big to be 130

  • which weight class is this?

  • i dont think that should have been an illegal slam because he didnt drop him he just followed through with his shot

  • i broke my ribs 15 months ago and now i have a big lump there where it overcalcified. it still hurts a bit and feels very wierd... the only option i have is to have the portion of the ribs cut out wich i really dont want to do.

  • looks like a jv match hahaha 2:00 hes trying to get the arm back and cant hold it wow

  • i like how this video is set up like a quentin terentino movie, showing the end at the beginning

  • i have went 2 dairy queen on several occasions lol, shit nasty slam tho, didnt look like it fucked him up that bad but its always a guess as to how bad somebody gets hurt in wrestling on count of a slam

  • wrestling dq = wrestling drag queen

  • wow good one D-Bag=you

  • Wrestling Dairy Queen?! That sounds awesome!

  • DAMN!!! nice slam

  • Boring video, i dont see any broken ribs.

  • i have broken the my rib twice one BMXing and once Snowboarding it sucks you feel like you are gonna suffocate

  • sweet moves. it looked like you were playing with him like half way threw the round to see what you needed to work on we all do it tho, great vid. if you have anymore id like to see them.

  • Pussy ref

  • haha damn so agressive. i always dogged it and just used enough strength and technique to beat my opponents. always regreted that i didn't go all out :[

  • Well he got out strengthed alot.. nice work

  • no it wouldn't have been legal.. the defending wrestler still makes hard contact with the mat before the attacking wrestler comes down

  • that would have been legal if you had grabbed the other leg.

  • You should have realized that stuff like that could happen when you went into that sport.

  • Noone forced you into it, Can't take the force dont join the sport.!

  • yeah that kid didn't even look into it

  • that was pretty cool lol

  • should take up mma man. good slam

  • if u don't want to watch the shit. just go to 6:00 to skip all the crap and see his ribs being broken. what a shit vid.

  • dude, its just a match tape that happens to show a guy getting slammed

  • Nice. But I would own you.

  • Somebody pleae reply. What makes this illegal? What would he have to do to keep it legal?

  • the ref said it was illegal because i left my feet and brought him above my shoulders

  • k thank you, nice slam!

  • hey man i love that three quarter stack! i always go for it!

  • @krons32 if you would have put your knee down before he hit they might not call it

  • @krons32 yeah, that's basically it. If your feet leave contact from the ground its uncontrolled or something

  • @krons32 Your pretty fucking sick dude. I wrestle 215 and you would probably still beat me.

  • @krons32 ur knees have to land on the mat first before the opponent

  • @krons32 also you're supposed to put one knee down on the mat before they hit it.

  • @krons32 also because you didnt take him down with control, you slammed him

  • @krons32 but you still had full control, its not like you let go of him in mid air.

  • ok "jarniej" well it was illegal in folkstyle but in freestyle it isnt... the reason it because you have to have one KNEE down before you slam someone like that in folkstyle....

  • the move wasnt illigal just if a kid does somthing that hurts the other kid and that kid cant even finish the match cause he is hurt he wins on a DQ. if the kid hurt him self and couldnt go on then they other kid would win

  • @jarniej Anytime the opponents hips go higher than yours, you are responsible for his safety back to the mat. It was obvious that the takedown could have been made without the extra exertion (the opponent was darn near 4 or 5 ft off the ground). I don't blame the guy doing the slamming though. I that situation, giveing the extra popping of the hips, it is hard to tell that this sort of thing will happen.

  • he picked the guy up to high and droped him hard if ur gonna have someone up that high you have to let him down easy

  • @jarniej he lifted him too high if u have someone up high like that u have to let him down easy

  • @jarniej

its illegal for those reasons, you cant really "slam" its just illegal cause its not safe.

  • @jarniej you have to control the drop, the object isnt to kill your opponent, just use the advantage of having him in the air in order to obtain a favorable position. i was slammed my junior year and it put me out for that tournament and the next one. I ended up goin against the guy in our finals and i beat him all to none.

  • @jarniej his knees were supposed to hit the ground first

  • @jarniej it because he did not go to his knees he kinda jumped with it is what they would say he the guy lifting has to keep contact with the mat the whole time

  • @jarniej When you "slam somebody" in wrestling you have to keep it controlled. Pretty much you cant slam anyone hard, at all.

  • the collar tie is for 8th graders and freshman

    haha

  • Damn! broken ribs...I've had bruised Ribs but never broken. holy $h!t!

  • wow that was gay the skinnier guy didnt even look like he was in his weght class

  • The guy who executed the slam looked a bit fat yeah

  • If that guy ran into an actual wrestler he'd get his ass kicked. Lousy move by a rookie wrestler.

  • Nice slam, definitely illegal though.

  • i like that setup to the sweep. Nice!

  • Thanks

  • if it where judo or juijitsu this would of been a class act

  • @Judocraft Not Jui-Jitsui. i think slamming like this is illegal in all three sports.

  • DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • once you pick them up their saftey is your responsibility.

  • u guys sound like pussies

  • fuck u!!! u think its fun gettin dropped(slammed) on ur back from 5-6 feet up?

  • That looked legal, maybe unnecessary roughness though.

  • that was SO not worth waiting 6 minutes to see.

  • Thank you for saying me :D You saved 6 mins of my life you made my day:D

  • it showed it in the beggining then if you want to watch the whole match you can....

  • no it wasnt he didnt come down with him and make a controlled landing

  • right. doesnt he need a knee to hit before he tries to do something like that?

  • yes

  • that is a perfectly legal slam.

  • I think the only reason the ref called it illegal cause how bad it looked but it was a legal takedown

  • thts legal he met him at the mat as took him down if he would of bellyed out then he wouldnt of broke his ribs in my opinion its totally legal i have done slams like tht (but no btoken bones) and i won the mAtch and i got a video of his coach laughing

  • there is nothing illegal about that...

  • Thats not a slam

  • wtf is qu'ed

  • first of all, no no no, when in doubt LET GO OF THE HEAD, if he let go he could of bellyed out resulting in him not breaking a ribs, but he put him down a little hard.

  • i agree that it is the responsibility of the wrestler to bring the opponent down safely, however in this case the opponent did not do what he needed to do in order to protect himself, he did not turn towards his belly like all wrestlers are taught on the first day of practice. If the wrestler maintained control on the downward part of the move he would have had the pin easy!

  • fag.

  • dang that wasa big slam....that happens alot though but not usually with an injury

  • Thats a slam no question about it

  • Legal or illegal it's still a dick move :P

  • A slam is lifting and returning an opponent to the mat with unnecessary force. The knees have nothing to do with it nor does the fact that he didn't leave his feet. This is a slam because of how hard he was brought back to the mat. This is from the NFHS rulebook which is for all states. There is nothing close about the call but I do not beleive it was intentional so the I don't beleive that the DQ was warrented. Should have been illegal slam, one point, start recovery time.

  • you are correct on the definition, but then the question of unnecessary force comes in. Thats the problem, its refs descretion. What we as refs are taught to do is determine whether or not the wrestler had control of his opponent. Normally if a wrestler leaves his feet, like in this instance. Its a slam. And no the knees have nothing to do with it, but they are a good indicator that there was control. In the end it comes down refs discretion.

  • With all slams unnecessary force is the determining factor and like linebacker said that is refs discretion. Like he said a guy leaving his feet is a good indicator. When I see a guy lifted basically over his head I know he has control of the guy now he better have control of him back down. To me this is a very easy call in this instance.

  • sorry for a noob question but is there jv and varsity in college wrestling?

  • i thought the rules were if his feet leave the ground you r responsible for him coming back down safely.

  • The exact definition in the NFHS rule book is "lifting and returning an opponent to the mat with unnecessary force." Now even though it doesn't say responsible for him coming back down safely. It does say so in the NFHS wrestling case book in the examples of a slam as well as well as associations around the country agree on that principle of if a wrestler lifts his opponent off his feet that he is responsible for his opponents safe return to the mat. I can quote the case book if needed.

  • I agree with usmc on this one. Wrestling is a dangerous sport; however, when lifting an opponent completely off the mat it is your responsibility to return the opponent safely to the mat. Rules or not what do you think is morally correct?

  • the knees hit after so that is illegally.. but barely. oh well

  • that dude in the short suit looks so familiar. where is this?

  • that is legal. Im from PA the toughest wrestling state in the U.S. That was legal cause they were chest to chest and he didnt leave his feet

  • you are wrong.

  • damn what state is this?

in Maryland we hardly ever get potentailly dangerous called.

    that was legal as shit

  • It's California

  • hold on. i thought it was okay as long as your body and your opponent's body hit the mat at the same time

  • your right hezlikeherOin its was a slam but not something i would have DQ'ed him for

  • supposedly the rule on this situation is that the knees must hit before the opponents body. and in this situation it was pretty close, but his knees just barely didnt, and put all their weight on his ribs.

  • yeah thas right its the knee rule if hes knees were down it woulda been fine but i still dont think that's dq material

  • haha true that,congradulations js22495dontforgert

  • yeah its illegal but he shouldnt have gotten Dq'd

  • actually its pretty standard they DQ for a slam like that. but only since the kid was hurt so bad. i've seen this a couple times. if he really is hurt, or just wants to puss out, the ref will give a DQ.

  • I didnt see any illegal about that ive watched it over and over and their was no unnecessary force that i could see

  • well the slam was pretty illegal you gotta admit that lol

  • why was the guy dq'd it looked like a textbook shot to me... just because his opponent got hurt... means he gets disqualified

  • 5:46 !!!!! his ass go pwned!

  • what a girl. that happened to me, exact move and everything and i cracked a rib.. thing is i had two other matches and this one to finish and i wrestled them(winning two), broken ribs and all.

  • well good for u u should go eat a cookie now

  • hahaha very well put eastsidex

  • i calls em like i sees em

  • ouch......

  • what style of wrestling is this

  • this is colligiate wrestling

  • jesus christ no its not! its folkstyle wrestling.

  • they are the same thing...same shit different brand...like delhaize =P

  • brutal killer instinct. not only the slams, but a three quarter nelson thrown in...

  • i mean in middle school my bad

  • thats legal in moddle school

  • what defines an illegal slam?, i thought its when you dont come down with him, but if u do its ok?

  • the slam was illegal because i brought him above my shoulders and i left my feet. that is what i was told from the ref

  • now the officials are stopping people from picking people up depending on height

  • Nice move. It seems the guy you slammed lifted his feet up, and part of his body was still under you. What weight class by the way?

I did 189s and I know that if that happend to me it would probably mean a lot worst then broken ribs at that weight.

Nice job. No coach would ever hate you for killing a guy in your match.

  • kron32, it was illegal because you brought him down with unnecessary force. The slam rule simply states "When a wrestler lifts another off the mat, it is the lifting wrestler's responsibility to ensure the other's safe return to the mat.". It says nothing about lifting him too high. Perhaps you misunderstood the ref.

  • National Federation of High School wrestling rule book

Rule 7 Section 1 Art 1. A slam is lifting and returning an opponent to the mat with unnecessary force.

There is not such thing as a legal slam. By rule a slam is illegal.

  • yea,not illegal but the match should have been stopped by ref and given the guy a warning

  • that wasnt illegal but it was dangerous
