If you were in a true arctic survival situation the chances of catching a reindeer are incredibly slim (they weren't even able to do it in a best case scenario). This is endemic of Bear Grylls' "survival" advice, it's sensationalist and often dangerous. He's neglected to show a wealth of true survival food sources and instead needlessly killed a living being for nothing more than its entertainment value, if you can call that entertaining.
