Just checked the operation of the power switch, Power led should go off when switched off. Alarm switch & corresponding led, operates independately of power switch. If powered on with power switch - pwr led is on & When turned off - pwr led is off. If powered on, lighting the pwr led indicator, then alarm is turned on - pwr-led indicatior goes off and then Alarm led indicator is Lit. Hope that helps
