you see, the awesome thing about emrakul, is by using summoning trap, with 2 lotus cobra, you can see him out on turn 3.

turn 1: forest, llanowar elves/ birds of paradise/arbor elf.

turn 2: tap forest and bird/ arbor elf and retap forest, lotus corbra, play forest, float green, play a lotus cobra.

turn 3: tap 2 lands and third creature for 3 mana, harrow, float 4 green form lotus cobra, tap your 2 new lands, summoning trap. emrakul is in the top 7, play him essentially for 6 on turn 3.

Yeah it doesn't work like that. Emrakul has protection from colored -spells-. Nighthawk is a colored creature spell while being cast, once it's on the battlefield its just a colored creature. Cards are only spells when they're on the stack.

actualy, it is still a spell. if you have protection from colored spells than you cant take dammage from creatures of that color. ergo, vamp nighthawk fails.

I think the best stratagy against everything in eldrazi I've seen has been Thopterfoundry+sword-O-T meek. Shit-ton of permanents to sack when anihatator hits, you dudes can block... *THAT* and lets face it - its great to have to begin with.

I... am incredibly disappointed with wizards right now.

When Jace came out I thought that hes not too shabby. I dont like him, but I understand the need for him to be boosted with 4 abilities and its a generally small jump forward for the Planeswalker card type. But with the Eldrazi... especially this Emrakul"... all I can do is just shake my head. Stupified of how ridiculously broken he is. I absolutely agree with motherspitchfork. I am just truly disappointed with this set so far.

Broken? I don't think a cmc of 15 is anything broken. Cards like the power 9, yawgmoth's win, bazaar are broken cards. You should already have won if you can cast this guy. Even with all the ways to cheat this guy out early in ROE, its going to be hard to keep your brood tokens/eye of ugin/eldrazi temple on the board long enough to cast this.

It's a triggered ability. Progenitus says "If it would be put into a graveyard", this guy has "When it is put into a graveyard". So yeah, you can instant speed reanimate in response to the trigger

sure you can. the reshuffle is a triggered ability, and not a replacement. so if you have an instant way to get him as he is going to the graveyard(like necromancy), than you can cheat him into play, just be aware that since your not "casting him" your not getting the timewalk bonus. Innihilator 6 on the cheap is great though

Hmmn Eldrazi just got a bit better. But unfortunately that 15 mana price tag is going to make Emrakul a one or two of. Eldrazi is going to be green blue most likely. Green for acceleration and blue for draw power. The thought that they made that one red Eldrazi is stupid. Eye of Ugin can do only so much. I can see some Polymorph decks featuring our little Eldrazi as well.

Boar Umbra < Elephant Guide/Grif guide. When a creature wearing Elephant Guide died, you got a lowish 3cmc value creature.

With a basic Spike curve, you'll be getting a 2cmc value out of totem armor unless you're building a deck around it.

The 1cmc totem armors seem fairly playable, however.

Mr Erwin, good show for tonight, but I want to point out a mistake you made. These "Levelers" start at the same Level 0 as Figure of Destiny, not level 1.
