i had this lapband one years ago , is really help me pick up my confidence and started new life. Actually, it's safe and effective, i lost 30 pounds. i only have 115pounds now.i have this operation in southcoastlapband, it's best place to make my dream come true.

@fangorn23 because thats the part of the stomach that when food reaches to that level it sends your brain a "message" saying you're full, so they put the band there so the person can get full with less food and eventually the person begins 2 loose weight.

Ok they do it to give you a smaller stomach and you fill the top potion of the stomach when you eat thus you lose weight with less food

wait why does the band go around the top of the stomach where it meets the esophagus instead of around the very middle of the stomach? This really bugs me

Anyone know? There must be reason why they would risk people being unable to swallow by putting it up there
