Ninja Gaiden is a harder game...but thats not the case here. This is about who would win in a fight between the two...and not whose game is harder. I think it would be a pretty even match. They both hunt demons, and they both have the ability to use different weapons, They are both skilled fighters. And they both have good speed. As for strengh? Both have amazing strengh...play both games and you'll see.
I would vote for Dante. Capcom characters are more renowned and popular than Tecmo's. Dante is more of a big mouth archetype while Hayabusa is one cold ninja who lacks emotion.

Im a huge fan of the DMC series and i used to argue alot with one of my best friends (who is a huge NG fan) about this fight alot but we finally came to a conclusion. Ryu would win by default - dante would give up after about 5 mins of fighting ryu because the fight would be going absolutly nowhere.

1 He has Demon, Human, AND God Blood coursing through his veins. He isdescended from 12 gods. So all that power would probably render Quicksilver useless.
2 If the blood wouldn't cover it, his speed, swing speed, and reaction time would probably suffice against Quicksilver. Hayabusa revive or transformation beats regen.
@HateTheZero ...I don't think you get what I mean by transformation. I meant when Ryu transforms into that Swallow, or Dove or whatever, and seemingly becomes intangible (assuming he does the spiritual manifestation, like at the end of NG1). That could be his ticket out of a tight spot, silly as it sounds. That transformation can also be seen as a form of 'regeneration', as he returns to the point where he was defeated, but as a bird.

Ninja Gaiden is a harder game...but thats not the case here. This is about who would win in a fight between the two...and not whose game is harder. I think it would be a pretty even match. They both hunt demons, and they both have the ability to use different weapons, They are both skilled fighters. And they both have good speed. As for strengh? @Muslimdude1 dante never got his ass chopped to pieces so u dont know he cant die if noone ever tried. also kratos isnt as sweet as ur trying to make him seem. alot of his powers are similar to ryus ninpo. either way it all comes down to speed. lets put it this way: if u and me got in a fight, equally armed with what ever. but ur faster. i could garentee my ass wupping. same applys here. the speed at which ryu moves throughout the game is much greater. ergo, ryu would win hands down.

Im a huge fan of the DMC series and i used to argue alot with one of my best friends (who is a huge NG fan) about this fight alot but we finally came to a conclusion. Ryu would win by default - dante would give up after about 5 mins of fighting ryu because the fight would be going absolutly nowhere.

Dante is not invincible. according to the official wiki, he can heal from MOST wounds not all. cutting off his head would DEFINETLY kill him. 3. Dante is said to move faster than the eye can see. but he is still not as fast as ryu who is recorded to move faster than lightning. aka light. 4. now who is the one playing in what cradle?? lol, YOU. hop off my long jon. everyone else who watched this thinks ryu would win. ur outnumbered. lol....

They're both awesome, but I believe Ryu has the upper hand as he's very versatile with almost everything, not to mention he even takes on the military and their guns :P
I mean the guy took out 2 tands in the first Ninja Gaiden and a helicopter, if that's not excessive, I dunno what is. Dante is Awesome too, but I think the match would be close but a win for Ryu.

@HateTheZero Untrue. If i remember correctly, one of the random Fiend prayer books you find in the games mentions that Vigoor's power ignored the very concept of time itself. Ryu, being part god himself, will not be affected.

Except Dante's not even the only time stopper here. That's right. Although only lasting a few seconds, in the original NES NG (I don't know about the VERY original one, as that was Arcade), Ryu could freeze the entire stage in time. We all know that all he needs is a few seconds to AT LEAST incapacitate Dante, thus winning the match by knock out.Plus,for all we know,beheading a Sparda descendant MAY kill them.Or,at least Ryu could stop time and shoot a black hole at Dante.That=ringout on Dante.

@HateTheZero Check out a video called "Ryu Hayabusa this Awesome in Dead Fantasy?" Also, even if Dante were to activate Quicksilver, Ryu has at least two safety nets:
1 He has Demon, Human, AND God Blood coursing through his veins. He isdescended from 12 gods. So all that power would probably render Quicksilver useless.
2 If the blood wouldn't cover it, his speed, swing speed, and reaction time would probably suffice against Quicksilver. Hayabusa revive or transformation beats regen.

and bangle of time doesn't slow time like quicksilver, it completly stops it
Dante revives off an item like ryu and dante has 4 different transformation (one that renders him completly untouchable)

@HateTheZero ...I don't think you get what I mean by transformation. I meant when Ryu transforms into that Swallow, or Dove or whatever, and seemingly becomes intangible (assuming he does the spiritual manifestation, like at the end of NG1). That could be his ticket out of a tight spot, silly as it sounds. That transformation can also be seen as a form of 'regeneration', as he returns to the point where he was defeated, but as a bird.
