It's a standard 850 T5 but not a very quick one. 0-60 in 8 seconds and that mid-range, I'm guessing its a 2.0 T5 rather than a 2.3. And yes they did do a 2.0 T5 before anyone says Volvo didn't. They came with 210bhp rather than 225. Mine is close to 300bhp so 0-60 takes under 6 seconds but it's all about the mid-range and that is incredible :)

cool ! im looking at volvos differently after seeing some of these vids!! we dont have the turbo ones in Aus and the old square ones are all rust bucket shitters ;) ive got a nissan 200sx s14 with with 255rwhp and it gets max boost at 3k rpm ;) not epic power but very drivable and good fun ;)

Yeah they are great cars but so are the 200SX, very underated cars indeed. 255rwhp is very respectable for a relitevely light weight car. I bet you'd give me a serious run for my money anyday!

ok cool, one of my neighbors has a turbo wagon, it looks realy new and all i have seen so far is the turbo badge on the back, im not sure what model it is but other than seing that one ive never laid eyes on one b4. were you from ? do you have one ?

entonces mejor ke te compre un telemetro laser jeje..xke un traccion delantero no conseguiria hacer 0-100 en 5 seg tampoco con mas de 400cv..no tiene bastante grip,el diferencial autoblocante no puede hacer mucho, ademas se trata de un coche de 1600kg...0-100 en 5.2 lo hace un ferrari 355...con motor central,minor peso y muxos caballos mas..es una utopia..no confies en el taquimetro..aun mas una vez ke hayas tuneado el coxe..

Actually volvo says the 0-100 time for a 2.5 GLT 170Hp stock should be about 8.5 seconds, I have a GLT 2.5 170Hp and i believe i could keep up.

good coment allvetarN2, this was just under 8 seconds. The 2.5 is more like 10. Ok it's not a very quick one granted but certainly not a 2.5.

just to clear things up. This is indeed a 850 T5 inline 5, 2.3l 850. But it is a fairly beaten one, bone stock with no modification at all. Oh yes and it is driven by me, a computer engineering nerd. So you can understand why it doesnt accelerate the fastest possible hehe.

Km/h = kph.. And to continue: now I have an 850 T5, 70hp more when looking at the papers and it does 0-100 in quite low 6's.. So it's over 2 seconds faster than this. I dunno..

Well, @ stock 850 T5 manual is 6.6 secs.. Its all about driver

I never did better than ~6,4, and my Volvo wasn't stock. Maybe it is possible to reach 0-100kph under 7 seconds with a stock T5, but the acceleration and gear change would have to be perfect.

Well yeah.. I had a chipped S70, 2-liter turbo and it did 0-100km/h in 8,6sec.. This one takes about the same time, but it's odd 'cause I had to change to 3rd to reach 100km/h.. You can never know..

To be fair i think that this is a T5 due to the sound and acceleration. I think he shifted too early at around 90mph hence the slow progression afterwards

in fact, the 7.5-8.5s time between 0 and 100kmh is probably cauised by the huge gap between the first and second gears. Im not an experienced 'speed shifter' I think :)
