  • . . . It's sad that people only know this because of Harry Potter.

  • @S4CFoLife It was taken from Macbeth - or so it seems cause the song in Macbeth is similar.... Still an awesome song though. When I first heard it I thought it ended with: some women did this with thumbs!! >.<

  • @SaffyVamp I'm sure, if they're lamenting the fact that some people only know this from Harry Potter, that they know where it originally came from =P

  • Comment removed

  • @S4CFoLife It also reminds me of the witches in the great theatrical classic, Macbeth :)

  • @S4CFoLife im guessing its shakespeare..not sure :(

  • @S4CFoLife where else could we know it from?

  • wanna ding it at my school!! I'm gonna say to my teacher ;D

  • When I first heard this, I was watching the 3rd movie's trailer. When the last crescendo came, if you remember, a Dementor's hand appeared in the screen, opening the glass door. It gave me chills.

  • Thumbs up if you only searched this because of Harry Potter in 99 seconds.

  • Snape must love this song...

  • Eye of newt and - Isaac Newton

Toe of frog - Tom the Fawn

Wool of Bat and - born in the mountain

Tongue of dog - time of dawn

    Adder's fork and - adder's smoke and

    Blind-worm's sting - blindward speed

Lizard's leg - Gizz the Ler

and owlet's wing - and owlet's weed (as in on the floor!)

This is what I'm getting!! Prob don't match anyway!!

  • @thePaschalCandle you are wrong, all the creepy ingredients are nick names for REAL HERBS YOU FUCKING IDIO, tongue of dog is not time of dawn, its refering to the plant called dogs tongue, you are a fucking reatard get it right,

  • @witchcraftlord what drivel are you talking! I know what the ingredients are!! I know they are nick names!!The way the choir sings the words, makes the words sound different that's all! I put at the bottom of my comment, "they prob don't match anyway!!" If you had read that bit, you would have known that I was not talking about the ingredients!!! Maybe you should get it right!!!

  • @witchcraftlord nice to see someone actually knows that lol. Had a tough time explaining that in eleventh grade literature lol....

  • @SuperNanana09 I did. I actually heard this before I read Macbeth. Considering this came out before I was in high school. But when i read the witches part with the culdron (sorry sp.), I was like wtf this sounds like a Harry Potter song, but I understand this song came after Macbeth. She used the lines from Macbeth cleverly though.

  • @music4life1415 is funny cause not even my English teacher at the moment in High School notice this, until i brought the DVD to class and we all watch it! it was epic how she jumped when she heard it...

  • This is one of the reasons why the third film is the best among the eight films. The third film was so well done that it actually made you feel like you're in the wizarding world.

  • @joseph222911 yes, it does.

  • Hear the way they say Trouble

  • haha I thought it was toilet trouble... XD

  • Double double toil and trouble, Umbridge is a big fat bubble, double double toil and trouble, something wicked yes she is! (Hillywood Show) :')

  • Severus Snape "The bravest man i ever knew" <333

  • only good one i can find

  • We can almost see the Witches from Shakespeare's Macbeth singing and dancing around their cauldron surrounded by ancient menhirs and dried trees, while the "something wicked", Macbeth, looks at them both marvelled and worried.
