You have the wrong idea about socialism and communism.

Socialism (dictatorship of the proletariat)is the time before communism..

During socialism the oppressed poor take control and use the state to re-distribute wealth which was previously stolen from them under capitalism..Then once equality is acheived the state is no longer really needed and so it will wither away (atleast in theory) resulting in a classless, stateless society known as communism..

The problem with the high school teacher is he is teaching kids communism and capitalism are polar opposites and socialism is in the middle and from the video it's clearly shown as the best. Socialist propaganda is taught in schools doesn't surprise me.

What people should realize is Communism and Capitalism are both merely economical systems! Just like Democracy and Dictatorship are both merely governing systems!

People in the west make a link between Democracy and Capitalism, just like they make a link between Communism and Dictatorship (this is called Totalitarianism). What people don't realize is that this is a false comparison. If you want to compare Communism with a Dictatorship to something, you should compare it to Capitalism with a Dictatorship (which is called Faschism, like Nazi Germany was). The reason people do this because this is the way it is taught to them at school.

Good video, but I think the communism should have been like Marxist communism (no government and workers work together for "greater good") rather than Soviet communism (big government where workers work together for greater government). Also, socialism isn't really in between communism and capitalism. Socialism is essentially an extreme democracy in which the people vote for everything. It is usually closer to communism because it allows the people to vote for the "greater good".
