  • Yes I did play it to death. I never played the game, just the zapp demo. The game never made it to the shops in the NZ. and mail order was / is never to reliable. I have tried to emulated, with win-vice 1.14. I have four different roms. None of which load up. Yeah, I never forgot this tune ever. I was so glad you posted it. 0ne of the best. Maybe have a listen to The fourth(i think) level boss of retrograde. Still rocks on my playlist. Now nestled beside this awesome loader.

    Thanks Again!

  • Wow! I am so glad this is here!

    Thank you!

    Nathan

  • @netlimbatwing

Did you play the demo tape from the magazine too? I never forgot this tune and was sad that it wasn't on the released game because it is one of the best tunes ever on the SID.

  • tune from this video seems to be playing from Dominator sub tune 2, while my TAP version plays from sub tune 1. Odd... anyway, both AWESOME tune. Also, sub tune 2 from this video is similar to Bangkok Knights loader tune. It is from the same composer, Matt Gray, and it is also a great tune :)

  • This music is freaking epic. C64 SID musicians really pushed the boundaries not just of the computer hardware but of electronic music in general.

I honestly believe that the great SID musicians shaped the future of music far more than they ever could realise.

  • damn thats good instant remedy get on this ting

  • This is amazing! Is there any place where I can download a SID file of this?

  • @StoanPhrogg Try the High Voltage SID Collection. You can find any sid you want there.

  • Hmm, I wonder why this tune is different from the one I recorded recently?

  • What an excellent tune. Modern games have no "soul" as far as music is concerned. Infact they are all crap!

  • great muxzak!

  • love it<3 long live the 80's<3

  • This is unbelievable. You surely can find everything you want on youtube. I have wanted to hear this tune for so long and here it is. Thanx for posting.

  • I got the original TAP file of the Commodore User/Format cover tape from those extremely helpful and clever people at Retrogenius :o)

All I did was create the movie file really and upload it. Luckily it turned out nice despite youtube massacring algorithms!

  • Ah well thanks to HQ I am not barfing as much as your text implies.

Funny how these 'alternative' loading routines slash copy protection routines actually manage to have the screen on whilst loading from tape.

With the music playing and the color bars it's not loading very fast as usual with the c2n tapedeck ;-)
