Most professional Soldiers drink. Is discipline in the Legion truly harsh? I am leaving the US Army because I feel that discipline has gotten far too lax and was told that the Legion still offers a challenge and full emersion into a military lifestyle. I am already fluent in three languages including French.

'Garna' is spelt Ghana and as point of fact I think you'll find the legion in Guyana not Ghana.

I keep on reading about how competitive the selection process is. Stuff like only 1 in 10 people make it through to basic. But I can't seem to find anything that tells what exactly people get turned down for. Is it just because they're too fat and out of shape or is it something else?

Thats not a scrubbing sponge, thats his new grade ( legionaire premier class) and it is only beer in the helmets, Kronenbourg, all us Anglophones who've spent time in the Regiments are all in mutual agreement, that it's the worst beer EVER! we'd rather be drinking dish water and fag butts, atleast we'd have more chance of keeping that down!

It's not beer. It is a mixture of all the most disgusting things that are to be found. You see there is a scrubbing sponge floating it the helmet. It depends on who mixes it but it might be something like dirty dish water with old tea and cigarette butts but it could be something really disgusting. If they go into the toilet for a long time you will probably be sick later. Each regiment has it's own special brew
