my grandma freaks out when I tell her how much it costs for a her shy bar at the store. has anyone noticed that candy now a days is smaller or thinner than it was before. stupid half centimeter hershey bar.
@pyrogyra72 I know how you feel...I live in Indiana and all of ours are dropping off the map too. There used to be one 20 min. from where I live and was there for as long as I can remember. Now I have to drive 2 and a half hours if I want my cajun fried heaven!
@MrDroe360 What sucks about all this is that they brought back the fried crawfish! I remember going across the street to Popeye's, buying a crawfish po' boy, catching the bus, then eating it in the break room before I had to clock in. Everyone who walked in would say "Woah, what smells so good?" Those were the days.
@miamivicepastels83 When the Popeyes chain originated - the animated characters were used until the early 1980s when they transitioned to their Cajun theme - still in used to this present day...
@montrosepatriot i remember getting this little coin that was good for a free something or other from popeye's chicken in the 80s but being a kid i kept it cause it looked like a gold coin. i still have it. anyway there was a picture of popeye on it and his head was in a star. interesting to know though
@thebitchulovtohate Popeyes used to be the schiznit back in the '70s, 80s and 90s until street gangs raided the place and started having brawls. It's totally targeted to the African-American community now.
Actually, Popeye's Chicken is NOT named after the sailor man. It's named after the character of Popeye Doyle from the movie, the French Connection. Somehow, I don't think a cop or a sailor can effectively sell fried chicken.
I got to get me that brutus glass

Sadly, they closed down the Popeye's chicken in my hometown. We have to drive to El Paso to go to Popeye's.
