@KANONSIONNI - Yes, I think it does. We too had a cold snap and my first sighting was late. They are also lighter in attendance this year. I don't know if they are harbinger of the hard times yet to come. Nature often knows what we are blind to. They may have had a bad winter. I don't know. But here in Middle Tennessee, they are still lighter than usual.
wow, I love at about 1:15 a bunch of them all go out and hover (looking like they are trying to stay in frame) and go back in. It is almost hypnotising.
