  • For weeks after this commercial, my friends and I would buy a soda and say, "I also like the easy opening cans." Granted we were using paper cups but it was still funny as all get out to us.

    By all accounts, Charles Aaron Smith was the absolute definition of a gentle giant. Godspeed and rest in peace.

  • If memory serves me correctly, during the height of the Miller Lite days Bubba was the Grand Marshal at Michigan State's homcoming parade. As he rode down frat row, 1 side of the street was yelling "TASTES GREAT"!. The other side "LESS FILLING!" Afterward Bubba expressed great disappointment that the vast majority of the participants were probably underage. He didn't wish to be a further party to the degeneration of the youth of America.

  • As far as I know, Bubba Smith is the first athlete ever, maybe the first person ever, to give up a very lucrative, stupendously easy and really amusing job making beer commercials, just because he decided it was wrong.
