Savior didnt play bad. But BesT is just in a too good of a form to lose from him. Look at the first attack from Best. Those corsairs ripped him off. He barely got enough overlords to kill the couple archons. The 3 hatch muta build is risky as you saw in this game. Those mutalisks didnt pay off and therefore his hydras were in a too low numbers.

There were definitely some Savior-esque moments in this game. I thought he did really well, Best is one of the best players overall right now, so well done by Savior. He's on the comeback road.
We'll have to keep in mind that "destroy everyone in 2009" means that in 2009, everyone who plays pro-starcraft against Savior will be destroyed. So: at some point, Saviour will defeat his opponent - destroyingly!

Why no Ensnare earlier? Those Queens would have helped with attack and move speed reduction against that huge cluster of Dragoons or dare I say it, even against those speed shuttles. You can't harras if your shuttle is scouting for the enemy.
Savior microed like a muthafucka, but where the hell was his macro?? Four-base Zerg 20 minutes into the game should be able to get out more than a control group and a half of hydras...If he had produced a real ground army to do with all the scourges, mutas, queens, etc, he could have easily taken that game.
Well still on KESPA January Ranking Best is #4 :/ its good protoss and Savior isnt even in the first 30 :/ so i hope he will come back but dont be too hursh...
i think what he was looking for with the queens was the parasite observers so he can see em, and the spawn broodling the archons which he can do mabye every 2 mins with each queen but the queens just came out at the wrong time

Savior plays really well in the early game
Savior blows his lead somehow
Savior loses and his fans cry in agony
So if Savior can somehow manage to keep his play solid throughout the game he might be able to accomplish something good.

We'll have to keep in mind that "destroy everyone in 2009" means that in 2009, everyone who plays pro-starcraft against Savior will be destroyed. So: at some point, Saviour will defeat his opponent - destroyingly!

Why no Ensnare earlier? Those Queens would have helped with attack and move speed reduction against that huge cluster of Dragoons or dare I say it, even against those speed shuttles. You can't harras if your shuttle is scouting for the enemy.

Savior microed like a muthafucka, but where the hell was his macro?? Four-base Zerg 20 minutes into the game should be able to get out more than a control group and a half of hydras...If he had produced a real ground army to do with all the scourges, mutas, queens, etc, he could have easily taken that game.

Well still on KESPA January Ranking Best is #4 :/ its good protoss and Savior isnt even in the first 30 :/ so i hope he will come back but dont be too hursh...

moletrap this was the best video from you for weeks! very nice history of savior, he IS the maestro.
to be honest i didn't expect savior to win to best, but he played way better than i thought.
sniping the shuttle, nice scourge control, borrowed zergling scouts etc...
well his queens were absolutely useless...i really missed the ultra/ling + DEFILERS!
he just had to less forces but i have really good hopes for him, we should all believe in savior!

i think what he was looking for with the queens was the parasite observers so he can see em, and the spawn broodling the archons which he can do mabye every 2 mins with each queen but the queens just came out at the wrong time
