Although many bank stocks have rallied 100's of % since March, they are mostly still down from their all time highs. It's clear and obvious that TARP funds have been used to prop these equities along with filling their balance sheets at the FED. On many occasions, 70-80% of the volume is exchanged between large institutions using bank stock such as BofA and Citi in a game of hot potatoe. Short squeezes are violent and disiplinary but will have to end very soon.

Hey Charlie, on the subject of fear, you should see what's going on in the comment section of that video called "DEBTORS REVOLT" where a brave woman says "No" to the bankers. Well, many of the negative comments are trying to spread FEAR OF CREDIT SCORE DAMAGE. I don't know if these fear mongers work for the banking industry or if they just represent the average "scared of their own shadow" sheeple person.

I watched the show the Office the other day. The boss gets caught up spreading a rumor that turns out to be true about one of his employees. To cover it up he then makes up all kinds of wild and crazy rumors about the rest of the office so nobody can tell what is true and what is a lie. LOL I had to laugh at the underlying theme there. It was all resolved in the end when one person stood up and told the truth and ended all the confusion.

First, I respect You & your vids,very much! I disagree about the patriot act. It was concocted before 9/11. No one knew it's contents. Fear wasn't a part of it. The stimulus was opposed by the majority yet it passed. No fear there. I have to say that most people don't have a clue what is going on. They are the ones who fear. It is not the informed. It is very difficult if not impossible for the people in power to be neutral or indifferent. They have to wield their power. They can do so in a good way (generous, kind, humane), or they can do it in a bad way (as outlined in this video). I cannot think of a time in history when the balance has been to the positive. However, now we have a very serious fear which overrides all others on both sides of the equation and that is Peak Oil. It is the basis of all other artificial fears.

Fear is debilitating if allowed to be, however it can be a strong motivator as well. For instance, my fear has prodded me to expand my garden, can, and dry foods this year. Also building a greenhouse. I think fear is built into us for a reason.

Fight or flight: We can fight the legislation and plan for our needs, or we can run from it and allow others to do their bidding under the guise of keeping us safe. Are we the windshield or the bug? It is our choice.

Is it not possible that after years of education and culturization, our instinct is guided by common sense? I believe it is. Our children actually stike out or run away under these conditions, where we make more educated reactions. Fear is the emotion that triggers this instinct, but our instinctual action is drawn forth from our experience and our inner needs. Thus I believe we can guide others into using their fear to motivate them. Or maybe I am full of it.

I have to say that this mantra/doctrine of fear goes beyond only this administration. It's been at it's height since 9/11 easily, and it's not let up since. Everything is in crisis mode and "has" to be rushed through for our "greater good." You're so right in saying that when fear becomes the language of government, then loss of liberty in eminent. Fear is the sharpest and most deadly instrument in their arsenal I think.

The founders of this great country had some balls and fought against tyranny- its seems like the only one political figure that has a pair lately is Sarah Palin!
