but was left on her own pleasureing her self - lol i just think its brillant to fool the audience like that an have such a dramatic part of the film in such graphic scenes not ever really occur outside of the character's mind - wow what a film
Great tension adn suspense build up in this scene and great film - But while we are on the subject don;t you think it's amazing that SPOLIER: Through all the graphic sexual scenes this film was described as Diane and Rita never actual physically made love lol - 1St scene was in Betty (really diane's) mind and the second scene was another illusionment created my diane to replace the exact same situation and place she was in
I enjoyed watching Patrick Fischler in his small but memorable role in Season Five of "Lost." If people haven't seen "Mulholland Drive" then they tend to get confused on why I get so excited every time I see "Phil," actually sort of an annoying character.
I LOVE the build up and tension created in this scene. It's absolutely brilliant but the pay off in my opinion is somewhat disappointing. Still a great movie!
lol, I knew something was going to pop out of no where but, lol, that made me scream, lol, now I've gotta see this just to find out what the heck that was!
Here's my reasoning: I've watched horror movies my whole life. I've watched almost all of Lynch's films. No other moment in cinema scares me more than this. It's all in the setup. There's the initial anxiety created by the account of the dream. Then we realize it's coming true. Dread and uncertainty sets in trying to comprehend the situation and what might happen. And then the man suddenly appears. Leave it up to Lynch to scare the hell out of people in broad daylight.
a friend of mine just linked this to me and said i should see this movie. i knew something was going to come around the corner, but i literally screamed when that dude showed up. what the fuck! awesome! i love it! going to watch this movie as soon as possible!

yep its all about broad daylight. same with bob in twin peaks. the scenes in daytime are just as scary as night.

Some people thought the guy was Bob from 'Twin Peaks'. I think that assumption was fascinating.

I've heard of this scene. Pretty weird. Lynch really knows how to create a feeling of anxiety.
