Please beware of the risks! Complications can occur after injecting chemicals into the spine. Severe back pain in the area of puncture for months afterwards, even worse chronic pain conditions like arachnoiditis or inflammation of the meninges. Risk of nerve damage if the needle hits a nerve. Paralysis of the legs! Think twice before you have anything injected into your spine! I will never again have anything injected after two months of back pain after spinal anesthesia.
I had the L4 L5 area injected-a small space and very hard to get to. It was torture for a long time too. I have good pain tolerance though NEXT time I plan to "go under" as I just don't need that again! Just hope for an operation one day...
Man, if they hit a nerve at any time, you FEEL it big time. You get a new level of pain. Overall it's not painful, but when nerves are hit, it does hurt badly.
I got that injection.. still can not forget the feeling. It made me almost crying.
