This people are not committing crime in spite of puberty. These video is for public information. I can tell my relatives to be careful in eating in turo-turo. People can segregate trash because there are people that use it to earn money in different ways. If there i simple way we can do, let us help. I used to segregate my trash when I was in Manila. And when the truck came, I just hand it over to those basurero. I can't say its I can make a big change by that, but I still hope it help.

I feel terribly guilty to having been born to the generation who did all this. As a student we had high hopes with our protests and rebellion that we will do things differently. We ended up as worse leaders than our parents. What's even more unfortunate is that we managed to train our kids to behave like us. Will they turn our country around. I hope they will. To me, it's just mind boggling that a nation would rather starve it's fellow citizens in order to sell fertile agricultural land to foreigners to build insanely expensive condo units or vacation resorts. Food is becoming a commodity, not just in the Philippines but all over the world, and it shouldn't be. Food is a necessity of life. We need it to survive, but obviously, there are those who take more than what they need. People from N. America are really lucky.

This is just horrible. I don't necessarily agree with what they're doing but you have to understand how desperate these people are. The government isn't doing anything about it, and it seems as if poverty is the least of it's problems. There's no funding or projects to better the lives of poor Filipino communities. The rich keep getting richer, while the poor getting poorer. I mean there are people there who see that there is a problem but they don't do anything about it because it's not

We must understand that this is a different world these people are in- a world unimaginable to a lot of us, a world of poverty. However everything goes against what we know as right or acceptable regarding health, sanitation, human/personal dignity etc. I just see it as the people's response to the condition they are in, showing resilience and even ingenuity to actively find solutions to their more immediate problems - HUNGER. Hope this spurs concrete actions from those who able to help-You/I

This is a shared governance among citizens of the Philippines. We are all responsible for all our actions. It is much more humiliating when you could have done something and you did not do anything.
