I hope that, after all the eyewitness videos from Japan's 2011 tsunami, Hollywood will learn how tsunamis really look like when they strike. On their way to land, tsunamis don't actually rise to a giant version of that "surfer's wave" curling crest shape. The darn things look more like subtle rounded ripples, only rising up to foam white and break ("pounce") right when they hit shallow water--a.k.a. when it's too late for you to realize you should've run away. :-(
