That first question is kind of ironic. I went to school with with Elliot, and of course, Barlow was around all the time too. My housemates organized most of the shows on campus, and the food thing came up a lot. I remember Bad Brains and Sonic Youth in particular being impressed and grateful that we fed them a home cooked meal. At least one out of town band (don't remember which) crashed at our place. Heatmiser and Dino opened a lot, if not most of those shows.

And as for J being more talented than Lou, well I think you'll find alot of Sebadoh fans will fucking disagree, and also, if Lou wasn't talented, then why'd they ask him back for the latest Dino Jr tour? The only reason you think J was the most talented is because he was a dictator in Dino Jr, Lou got fuck all creative control and that's where problems arose. I assure you sir, if Lou had had as much control as J in Dino Jr, they would have been a much more well rounded band.

Lou is a better lyricist than J. in my opinion but otherwise their approach and style to music is so different that it doesn't warrant comparison. J. will always be the great guitarist who can write memorable riffs and cause you hearing loss.
