great film!! for those people who were confused who's the killer, the junkyard man is telling the truth. if you listen to Do Joon by the end when he's eating dinner with his mother, what he said pretty much tells everything, I don't understand why some people don't get that.

American adults have, for the most part, been slowly turned into infants, incapable of handling ambiguity and abstraction. Do you believe the eyewitness account of the trashman? He is portrayed as an honest and decent guy by returning change for the umbrella. Mother certainly believed his accounting of events.

@solareclipse365 It was left open. The majority of the evidence points to her son who is the one portrayed as clueless but essentially good nature. The old man was on the girls cell phone giving him a reason to lie. Everything is seen through the characters flawed perspective so you can't say for sure.

@jepharmstrong I have to disagree with you there dude, 9 out of 10 people just want to see vampires and rom-coms with 2 sex scenes, 3 explosions and a good scrap. Id love to see films like this in my local cineplex rather than drive into town, pay parking etc to see foreign films but the interest in the suburbs is non existant. Now and tehn they flock to something like crouching tiger but thats a rarity. 2 of the best films of the year did less than 8 million in the states.

@jepharmstrong so right. I love foreign films. Fresh ideas dont often come from Hollywood. If your new to the club. Start with some of these directors...at least i think you should. Guillermo del Toro (Devils Backbone, Pans Labyrinth), Alejandro González Iñárritu, alfonso cuaron, Chan-wook Park ("Vengeance Trilogy"), feel free to mention others, but off the top of my head those are some of my favorite directors.
