I had a remix of this on vinyl. Loved it. Loved Luke's stuff such as All Exhale. But when listening to this I can't help but thing early 90s Europop.
dont listen to them. i have huge speakers. That hihat is bitchin on mad E. just play it loud as fuck on a crisp rig. this is extremely good. if you are a purist your sets will be all the same track. the innovation comes in the progression of the DJ palying the song. then WOOOOO bloop bloop hell yea son sit down over there you dont know shit.
I just remember waiting for that concert looong time and we hadn't heard the new album by then. when he started playing these poppy songs we went "whatt??"
you are right, it's a matter of taste and you may like it, bit is a bit of a swerve, isn't it? how can he just go with the fashion? why can't he be more himself?
Well, i think Luke was in a romantic mood here. It was different from his previous work, and a lot of people think the album sucked donekyballs, but I actually liked it. Anyways, check his latest PAS releases and see he's back on track!
this is considered techno yet i heard classic house tracks with very similar sounds used the same way..sounds more like house music to me..doesnt matter really because i love them both..
really? i'd like to read some interpretations or analyses of this video. I get the idea Pierre is more irritated with the girl because she won't let him leave, then he's sneaking out when she hits the floor
@badbobbyhughes This video must be a re-enactment of the ending scene of Luis Bunuel's film "Simon of the Desert" (1965), when devil (the girl) takes ascetic saint Simon to the 60s night club where he can't resist the sin. The shooting manner, characters and the dialogue of this scene and Luke Slater's video are the same. It's sort of remake video. Just watch. Well, that's my reason for loving the song and video)
this is a great video. I have a friend who directs top-hit country music videos, watching him work or going through his notes was mind-blowing seeing how much creative thinking it demands

taniec ma pewne wyznaczniki, których ja tu nie widzę - 7 bram Jerozolimy koniecznie musisz zaliczyć i mam nadzieję, że twoja główka to chwyci.
By the way - ja też mam swój Top dj's ranking!

you guys have not obviously heard the last two albums from luke slater: freek funk and wireless
this is a pop version of the king of electro and it sucks, such a dissapointment for the real slater's fans...
guillermija 2 years ago
Why is this a disappointment? Because you don't like this style?
Sure this song is more "pop" than others of him. But hey, it was the time of electroclash, like it or not.
