I think Tom Jane would have to be the best out of this line-up, the punisher is one of my favorate films, Viggo is my favourate actor out of these guys but he wouldnt fit the role. Ray stevenson would also be a good pick. You have too many young actors here though, you have to remember Jack was born in 1960, Dolph is good enough on the age front but the guy cant act.
Ray Stevenson is the obvious choice. His NATURAL dimesions/looks match that of Reacher in almost uncanny fashion. his hieight/weight/build are pretty much on the spot. All he'd have to do is turn up on set.

Great choices, but some of these men are WAY too pretty to play Jack Reacher. This is going to sound absurd, but NBC had a terrific show (only lasted a season) called "Kidnapped" that stared Jeremy Sisto as a rogue FBI agent that was kinda off kilter but did what he did "for the greater good". He's tall and good looking, but he had a 'homeless" look to him like I imagine Jack Reacher to have. While I do love Jeremy Sisto, he would have to slim down a little to play Jack Reacher.

Dolph is the one I pictured Reacher most looking like but Reacher is better looking - just the build the same. My absolute favourite from the above would be Wentworth Miller - he has the same aloofness but his hair needs to be lighten and a little more muscle please.
Adrien Brody looks similar, but he needs to get growing tratment. I repeat. the model that walks the road in Lee's website is the one that looks closer, all hollywood actors are too short, too handsome, too muscly, or too whatever.
Howie Long. He is the only one, other than "The Rock" who can physically match Jack Reacher. Jack is a stoic, circumspect guy, so the acting wouldn't be that important. These guys are too small, too feminine, etc. None of these guys fits the bill for Jack Reacher.
My wife has read all of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books & she believes that Dolph Lundgren (1st choice) or Ray Stevenson would be able to bring Jack Reacher to the big screen. Jack Reacher is the Marlboro man kind of hero. Dolph has played in the Expendables, a hardcore man movie & with his background in military action movies (my wife is a Vet), his height and slim muscular build, would make him the BEST choice to portray Jack Reacher.
I have read all the Reacher novels, and though he is not a white guy, the one guy who keeps coming to mind, because reacher is so big is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

too many pretty boys, reacher is ruggedly masculin handsom, not like these suggestions, and none of them hold the pressence of reacher as described in the books.

I think Tom Jane would have to be the best out of this line-up, the punisher is one of my favorate films, Viggo is my favourate actor out of these guys but he wouldnt fit the role. Ray stevenson would also be a good pick. You have too many young actors here though, you have to remember Jack was born in 1960, Dolph is good enough on the age front but the guy cant act.

Ray Stevenson is the obvious choice. His NATURAL dimesions/looks match that of Reacher in almost uncanny fashion. his hieight/weight/build are pretty much on the spot. All he'd have to do is turn up on set.

that is the shittest collection of potentials i have ever seen. only ones that come close are dulph and the fella who plays eric northman, and he is too pretty and slim, and dulph is a shit actor. keeps looking, (and start reading the reacher books as you clearly havent and think wentworth shitneck is worthy of the big mans name)

Great choices, but some of these men are WAY too pretty to play Jack Reacher. This is going to sound absurd, but NBC had a terrific show (only lasted a season) called "Kidnapped" that stared Jeremy Sisto as a rogue FBI agent that was kinda off kilter but did what he did "for the greater good". He's tall and good looking, but he had a 'homeless" look to him like I imagine Jack Reacher to have. While I do love Jeremy Sisto, he would have to slim down a little to play Jack Reacher.

Dolph is the one I pictured Reacher most looking like but Reacher is better looking - just the build the same. My absolute favourite from the above would be Wentworth Miller - he has the same aloofness but his hair needs to be lighten and a little more muscle please.

Howie Long. He is the only one, other than "The Rock" who can physically match Jack Reacher. Jack is a stoic, circumspect guy, so the acting wouldn't be that important. These guys are too small, too feminine, etc. None of these guys fits the bill for Jack Reacher.

My wife has read all of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books & she believes that Dolph Lundgren (1st choice) or Ray Stevenson would be able to bring Jack Reacher to the big screen. Jack Reacher is the Marlboro man kind of hero. Dolph has played in the Expendables, a hardcore man movie & with his background in military action movies (my wife is a Vet), his height and slim muscular build, would make him the BEST choice to portray Jack Reacher.
