Floor Speech: Reconciliation Is "Trickery"

It took me a little over five minutes to find the major bills for which Republicans have used reconciliation. Here we go:

2001 Tax Cut

2003 Tax Cut

1997 to create the Medicare Advantage plans

Reagan signed the bill passed with reconciliation to create COBRA healthinsurance.

COBRA = Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act. It has Reconciliation IN THE NAME!

Again, Congressman Harper has no clue what he or his party is doing. He is wasting our tax money.

Congressman Harper has no clue what he is talking about. The whole reason why Democrats are using reconciliation is because the REPUBLICANS will not allow a vote in the Senate. They will filibuster any attempt at a healthcare vote.

Congressman Harper, if you want an up or down vote, then get your buddies in the Senate to stop obstructing the bill. Stop wasting our tax money with dumb, hypocritical speeches.
