Nirvana changed the face of rock. All the face-painted hair-sprayed Glam Rock of the 80's were considered 'badass' and 'hardcore' but Cobain proved all that was just flash with just a few power chords, a distortion pedal and pure aggression. They were very talented themselves , but drugs played a huge part.
