This is amazing. When I clicked on this I was expecting someone who would try to imitate Sabbath but you took this and completely made it your own. And you did an incredible job.
hvad jeg mente med b / g var baggrunden, eller lyde / akkompagnement til guitar og sang ... jeg om det var meget smukt, men jeg kunne høre et arrangement bag dig og dit instrument
This is a very interesting version, I love how it fits the lyrics, but gives it a different ambience. Definitely an A for ingenuity If you're ever interested in flushing out the b/g some more please contact me.
WOW man!!! you made a great work with this!!! the lyrics fit naturally in the song!!! te atmosphere y simple quite diferent than original but still same message, the vocals is soooooo hypnotizing!!! I really like this version, i have it now in my ipod!!!
You see what I mean? The music and the lyrics are just in harmony with each other. That's the same problem I had with System of a Down's cover of "Snowblind", for example, although, likewise, I went "wow" the first time I listened to it. I just think Sabbath are a band whose unity of music and lyrical themes must be respected and not be subject to too much of experimentation.
Thanks for the constructive criticism. I hear you, it might be a bit comical singing like this when it's about satan, but it's not meant to be that way. On the other hand, my take on Angel of death/More than words is meant to be that way. Anyway, thanks for taking your time.
I actually thought the way you did it was interesting. It sort of changes it from a song about the personification of satan to a creepy over-bearing boyfriend thing...so I think it works that way.
Generally, however, sabbath is pretty sacred ground so I guess that's something to always be conscious of...
Hey man, I understand there's a bit of a controversy over your effort here, so I'll try to be sort of constructively critical, if that's OK.
Let me put this way: I enjoyed your take, it was nicely put together and all, but there's a problem.
You did a sort of a mellow, soothing, laid-back version of the song. In terms of music, it was a good job, but it doesn't quite work LYRICALLY: The song is a nightmare about Satan "taking over". If it's not dark and ominous, it just doesn't FEEL right.
im already listening to this again. close minded fans ha hilarious tags brah. i checked out the them bones cover, great work. i love the depraved acoustic material it is like the best sort of stuff acid bath every did and this reminds me of it except spacier. commendable
I love this cover. I think you did a great job. Your cover really brings out the lyrical mastery of Black Sabbath that is sometimes covered up by the kickass music. Keep up the good work.
This kinda sounds like if Elliot Smith covered this tune. Not bad really. You did something different with it instead of a straight copy which is a plus in my book.
well if it makes you feel any better, i love black sabbath, and i think this is amazing. beautiful, musical...dude teach me how you make your acoustic covers! your iron maiden evil that men do was just beautiful too, love the voice effects.
I think its funny how most people talk a lot of shit for no reason. I agree that the vocal lines fit perfectly, but you've changed the song enough to where its not really a recognizable cover. Either way it was an interesting listen. love the effects on the voice.
Haha, you're all hilarious. Keep it coming! I thought Maiden-fans would hate me for my cover of The evil that men do, I didn't know Sabbath-fans had this much hate inside them and this much hang ups about testicles.
This is amazing. When I clicked on this I was expecting someone who would try to imitate Sabbath but you took this and completely made it your own. And you did an incredible job.

jaha ok, jag jobbar på att redigera om vissa låtar inför Campfire Songs vol II. Denna låt ska jag lägga lite percussion på.

I have been thinking about that from time to time, but It won't be because of a cover song. Thanks for the suggestion though.
