You see what I mean? The music and the lyrics are just in harmony with each other. That's the same problem I had with System of a Down's cover of "Snowblind", for example, although, likewise, I went "wow" the first time I listened to it. I just think Sabbath are a band whose unity of music and lyrical themes must be respected and not be subject to too much of experimentation.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. I hear you, it might be a bit comical singing like this when it's about satan, but it's not meant to be that way. On the other hand, my take on Angel of death/More than words is meant to be that way. Anyway, thanks for taking your time.

I actually thought the way you did it was interesting. It sort of changes it from a song about the personification of satan to a creepy over-bearing boyfriend thing...so I think it works that way.

Generally, however, sabbath is pretty sacred ground so I guess that's something to always be conscious of...

Hey man, I understand there's a bit of a controversy over your effort here, so I'll try to be sort of constructively critical, if that's OK.

Let me put this way: I enjoyed your take, it was nicely put together and all, but there's a problem.

You did a sort of a mellow, soothing, laid-back version of the song. In terms of music, it was a good job, but it doesn't quite work LYRICALLY: The song is a nightmare about Satan "taking over". If it's not dark and ominous, it just doesn't FEEL right.

I think its funny how most people talk a lot of shit for no reason. I agree that the vocal lines fit perfectly, but you've changed the song enough to where its not really a recognizable cover. Either way it was an interesting listen. love the effects on the voice.
