it is permissblr for the imam to use a Quran if he doesnt have it memorized to read from it, but the ple who follow the imam should not hold it, sheikh albani was asked about he pple standing behind the imam holding the quran to read, and he said it is not the sunnah, as for the imam, he can use it to read from it, cuz this happend at in a hadith with Aisha RadiAllahuanha.

this is called "sujood Al-tilawah", its mentioned in hadeeths, (sayings of the Prophet PBUH). There are 15 places in the Qur'an where there is this sujud, and in the qur'an in this places it says to make sujud. like here in this surah, Allah S.W.T is saying: (make sujud for Allah and worship him) And don't forget this is salaat Al-qiyam, it's additional for more reward, so you should do sujood in these places, but no its not "fardh".

And it is mentioned in one of the hadeeths I've read that when we do this sujud, the shaitan sees us and cries, because he didn't do sujud when Allah ordered him, and we are doing sujud when Allah is ordering us, so why waste this oppertunity?

Djazahu Allahu khairan. He has a beautiful voice, but two things confuses me...why is he leading the prayer reading from a quran? I have never seen this, surely he must know to recite without looking in it...

And also to be honest, sometimes the recitation is in my ear unpleasantly analogous to singing...sometimes the most beautiful recitation is without changing the voice from higher to lower sounds to often.

This Sheikh's recitation is absolutely wonderful. Of course you expect him to recite without reading, but he must be reading just to make sure he doesn't make any mistake. I don't think that fact diminishes the great quality of his recitation. Even people who don't understand and who are non muslims can appreciate the strong effect his recitation has on our hearts. Real Islam is about this type of content, not necessarily the outer form.

One of my favorite Surah.

stoning to death derives from the Hadeeth, anyway such punishment is under strict condition and the cases of inflicting them is rare. I don't see a big difference between capital punishment carried out in western governments and stoning to death to Muslim countries, by the way only the ruler can inflict this punishment not Shiekh or Mullah or w/e.

These type of incidents are blown out of proportion by Kuffars in the west.

Difference of opinion depending on which part of the world your scholar comes from...good to avoid holding it though. The Taraweeh prayers are Sunnah and completing the Qur'an during Ramadan in these prayers is not obligatory and therefore you shouldn't feel compelled to hold the Qur'an in your hand and recite from it.

salamu 'Alaikum brothers and sisters, concerning the holding the Quran during Terawee. its okay but when u go for sujood you have to remmember that all 5 parts of your body must be touching the floor including your fingertips, so if u have the Quran in your hand while doign sujood, sometimes all your fingertips might not be touching the floor, also its not right to have the Quran right behind another persons foot who is in front of you have something u can put Quran on when goin for sujood.

أما لمسألة السجود فيرجى الإلتزام بسجود الأعضاء ال 7 .

Answered by Imaam Ibn Baaz: There is no harm in that. Dhakwan, the freed slave of 'Aa.ishah, used to lead them in prayer during Ramadhaan reading from a copy of the Qur.aan. Al-Bukhaaree recorded that in his Saheeh with a definitively-stated discontinuous chain. This is the opinion of a large number of scholars.

this is from Tahajjud and in Tahjjud it is permissible to read from the Mushaff and not Allowed in the Taraweeh as majority of the Ulemaa has stated, plus with him reading from the Mushaff gurantees fewer or no mistakes in both his reading and those who are recording to distribute his Qira2a

Mishary hasnt really taught anyone except younger children because he himself is a recent graduate of Islamic University of Madinah, as for Fahd Al Kanderi he has been leading the Salaat since the age of 16 and he is now 24 same for Muhammad Al Kanderi but Mashaallah they 3 are all excellent reciter from the people of Kuwait eventhough Maajid Al Anzi and Ahmad Sa'eed are the best from Kuwait .. just my opinion ..lol..
