no post production/editing was done. Only the divx conversion was applied before uploading. Many of my recent uploads are all HD and in this way.

Youtube are the ones to ask this question. I believe something else is done by youtube to convert it to the flash format.

Hi, do you know wether it is possible to record in two different resolutions? I.E i play my xbox on HD but i recently sold my pc now im using a laptop (not enough proccesing power to record HD) So really i was wondering isit possible to play in HD and record in SD i dont fancy going back and playing SD it looks so crap lol.

Veeeeery good question. It's one I've been asking myself recently also. Currently im not recording in true HD like I would like. It's a somewhat watered down version due to not running raid HDs on which the videos are recorded to.

I'd need to know more about your setup to answer this. What are you currently running? what is the make and model of the capture device you are using?

I dont care how uber you think your laptop is, no recording worth keeping (from a PS3 source) is going to be done on that ;)

Post editing, yeah that's possible.

In hindsight, perhaps i should have looked into the 'AJA' range of capture cards if i knew about them. But i didn't so i went with the Blackmagic Intensity Pro option (cos it's the cheapest solution - i found!).

Your wallet will guide your decisions from here on. Capturing HD aint cheap....(yet)

LOL, of course. Im no Yoda, but I shall do my best to impart the little knowledge I do have on capturing.

First thing is first. I'll start off with the 'budget' range.

Simply put, the entry device for capturing on Mac or PC is hands down, the ADVC-55. If you can't 'afford' this brilliant external firewire capturing device. I wouldn't bother.

The ADVC-55 will also capture on your laptop too.

I've you've more money to spend. Let me know and i'll recommend other products. :)

hmm i have a laptop i been using my pinnacle-710 USB capture card for my vids but i want your kind of quality. i guess my budget for now is up to 100 bucks but if i get my tax returns which still didnt come in yet then i can go higher.
