why make a video explaining some bullshit research that the doctor isnt even sure of if its true? what good is giving out info if its "maybe not so much 100% accurate or ture but the doctors think that they might be unsure whether or not its accurate but they dont think so?"
What about for women? because I just started taking 100% whey protein...and now I have a bald spot! :( and it's the only thing different I've been taking. Also I juice so it can't be lack of vitamins.... :/
I'd imagine if there is any connection to whey protein and hairloss it's because the men using whey protein are working out heavily. Heavy lifting raises testosterone and if their follicles are sensitive to DHT they will be more prone to hair loss caused by the raise in testosterone. This is just my assumption. I don't actually know anything.
Constantly wearing hats or even being out in the son can cause hair loss and also how can Whey Protein even cause hair loss!?! Cheese/ milk and other Healthy things
I have not done the research. so dont bash me people. but i think wearing hats causes hair loss...... i love wearing hats thoooooooooooooooo. gread vid
Just for a statistical answer i have been using ON 100% whey protein gold standard isolate from past 3 months and trust me my hair fall has been reduced to 1%.I am 22 and my hair used to fall because of bad weather and all other things. But i have thick hair with much quantity. All i want to say is that whey doesnt cause hair loss neither helps hair growth. It all depends on other factors like tension, stress, diet, atmosphere etc. Nice vid by the way.
What do you recommend to use instead of whey? I have been having whey for some years now and I just noticed some months ago that I'm losing hair. I used to have plenty of hair I didn't know what to do with it. So, please let me know. I'm 32 years old and have been working out for 10 years. I should probably switch to something else. Would like to know what to use.
Considering that you're 32, you're at the typical age range when men begin to lose hair (alopecia), it has nothing to do with your whey protein intake (The Dr. is saying some BS). Hairloss is most commonly caused by DHT. I'd consider taking a combination of finasteride (Propecia, Proscar) and minoxidil (Rogaine). You'll have to take it for the rest of your life but you'll grow all your hair back an then some
@thermadyne123 dude you are saying it yourself you are 32 years old it's normal to lose hair around that age, protein is no medicine or elixer with side effects its god damn basic nutrition made easy to obtain
so... hair loss is caused by DHT, and since 80% of humain hair is made with protein, why would protein intake would make you lose hair lmao i don't even need to do research for that... hair loss is caused by stress most of the time, and more you see your hair dropping, more you're stressing causing more hair loss, i think that protein is good for your hair if you drink a lot of water with it seriously maybe i'm saying bs but that's my opinion
arn't hair follicles made from protein? thus making your hair healthier if you take protein and less likely to fall out, even a dentist has a DR. infront of his name so who knows maybe he pulls teeth for a living.
I agree that there is no proof that whey causes hair loss. Whey protein is a fairly new product, and it seems we (gym rats) are the clinical trial. If you speak to any nephrologists (kidney doctors) they will always recommended to not take these sort of supplements just to be on the safe side. The kidneys are a delicate organ, filtration and proper equilibrium in our diet is important; dumping hundreds of grams of synthetic protein cant be good for the interstitial tubules of the kidney.

i see so according to this hair specialist all you need to do is reduce your testosterone - maybe we should start taking the pill?

That's very strange because whey protein has nothing to do with testosterone... this "Dr" is a fucking quack. Whet isolate is BETTER than concentrate

MultiDoomsday666 1 year ago
@MultiDoomsday666 Yeah as long as you work out. But lift heavy but keep good form or your just wasting your time haha
BROSQUEE1 1 year ago
@MultiDoomsday666 You have to add carbohydrates to your shakes, the whey protein alone won't do jack shit.
