Kings Dominions Intimidator 305 Announcement Part 1

@MsCarowinds We are all entitled to our own opinion. Some may prefer non-stop intensity and insane airtime that Kings Dominion's offers. Others may prefer relaxing, floater airtime that the Carowinds one offers. Different people prefer different things. I live only 20 minutes away from Carowinds, and I honestly prefer Kings Dominion's. The one at Carowinds is just a bit too mellow for me. Just my opinion!

One thing that the people criticizing this roller coaster in favor of Millennium Force don't realize is that apart from the very short ride time, all of the criticisms they are making are ALSO true of Millennium Force.

Have you ever counted the number of airtime elements Millennium Force has?

As far as the total number of airtime elements, Millennium Force has 4 and Intimidator 305 will have 6.

I find it shocking how many people are say that this ride sucks cause it dosen't have loops, Lets count how many hyper or giga coasters have inversions. BTW if you knew anything about coasters you would know that's whhat it is called.

I'd rather have a coaster go High and fast and have no loops than to have one go slow and low and have plenty of loops

ok this ride is not supposed to be about airtime hills abd what not, the thrill for th eride is that it's tall and fast. Just because millenium force might have more doesn't mean the intimdator has to be the same it's goin to be a great ride no matter what when it goes 92 mph.

This coaster is boring. two airtime hills. I get more air on apollo's chariot. I really was expecting a millenium force type coaster that would at least keep me running between BG and KD for thrills. But this is disappointing. Griffon, Alpengeist, and Apollo's Chariot FTW!

Intimidator 350: A complete waste of momentum, why bother making this thing 305ft tall? It doesn't look like it even has a second hill over 200ft, it stays low to the ground 80 percent of the ride, I expected so much more....

Look at maverick, one of the number one rides in the world, which stays close to the ground all over.

I'm not saying rides low to the ground are bad, Prowler at Worlds of Fun (I believe you have a POV of it on your channel) Is one of my favorite rides, but look, its 85ft tall, Maverick is 105ft, they have a RIGHT to be low to the ground, this is 305ft!

I feel the exact same way. I feel its too spread out. They atleast could've added a vertical loop in there somewhere. All they did was make turns and curves. But....oh well. This being an Intamin coaster, I expected alot more than just this.

Disappointment. What Giga only has 2 hills. If you ask me its more of a Mega Lite. They told people they are getting a giga and then they come out with this. Needs more hills and its very short. Many people were thinking of a mirror image of Millennium Force. I hope Carowinds does disappoint their people by adding a rip-off.

Well seeing how its themed after Racing, they wanted to focus on its speed rather the hills. I still see a ton of air time in it, but I'm with you. I'd rather see more hills than more turns.

thank you for the video coaster crew! i've been keeping an eye on this and thought it might be bigger than it will be,but every time i see the drop, i realize how great a coaster KD is getting. can't wait for next year :D

A lot of people are already complaining about it, but man this truly will be a world class coaster, and how often do they come around? I am so happy a coaster like this will be at my home park! Thank you Kings Dominion

Yeah, there are a lot of complains, but the reasoning is probley because they see the other two which have more hills in them. Although this is a test to see if Intamin can pull off a nice compact Giga -Lite :-P, because I think they like those rides.

I totally agree. I mean, I expected more, but I am in LOVE with Kings Dominion, Carowinds is my home park but I despise Carowinds lol. But hey, I cant complain. KINGS DOMINION GOT A INTAMIN GIGA.!!!!!! Of all places. KD!? Awesome.
