Soldiers carry approximately 50lbs upwards of gear. These guys are some of the best traceurs in the world, and i doubt that they could manage with that weight, or even half that weight extra.

No it doesnt, more often than not, a sniper is still a part of the main unit and travels with them. And even in the situation described of escaping, and if we eliminate the kit problems, it wouldnt happen! Scout Snipers dont really go behind enemy lines and eliminate targets, they are simply part of the unit.
