The Lord of the Ring was written by JRR Tolkien. Tolkien was an expert on Old English, which comes from the Norse language, which is whats spoken here.

Man, it would suck to be the deformed hunchback sidekick of some beautiful, brilliant, yet completely deranged scientist/ scholar. I mean, your boss would get all the girls AND all the fun of bringing monsters to life, and you'd be stuck going "yesssss, master" perpetually.  And to make things worse, you'd have to listen to his annoying backstory during cutscenes, but no one would listen to your backstory, which would be far less elaborate and less interesting. What a pain!
