  • They are inscribed upon mah hart and in mah sole!

Jeremy is such a hick. LMAO!!!!

  • this should be the plot to the third movie

  • which was the rgb episode in which they fought gozer?

  • Wait a sec, why did Elvis just recite Lord of the Rings?

  • such an epic episode!!! >_<

  • my name is Jeremy and i don't sound like elvis lol

  • *grin*

Girl: "Jeremy said, the're only three people in the world who can decipher it."

Ray: "Is there any point in asking?"

Egon: "Not really. May I see this?"

You just gotta love the way the make fun of their own clichées, it's part of what makes this series so great.

  • wait a sec....at the very begining that voice was gogo the dodo from tiny toons!!!

  • @vampirehunterme Yeah, that's Frank Welker's voice. He was the Dodo. And he voiced Ray, Slimer and, in this episode, Jeremy.

  • they should base ghosterbusters 3 on this episode!!!

  • crazy song

  • My favourite RGB episode ever.

  • this is my fav episode..this was by far written for an adult audience..good one

  • @freddydigi This was the last episode J. Michael Stracinzky did for the Real Ghostbusters, mainly because ABC and the CONCERNED MOTHERS did not like stuff like this. I will try to bring back stuff like this in my future cartoons..

  • I never thought I would ask this question. What happen to Jeremys face? What did it turn into? A dead face or ?

  • you`re right! it`s the best one and the most interesting.

  • he sounds like geoge bush

  • I didn't know Bill Clinton guest voiced on ghostbusters

  • @roaklin LOL! You're right!

  • So let me get this straight:

His girlfriend leaves him, so he travels to...I guess Mordor...to chant a magic spell to turn him into a zombie flute player so that he can destroy all of reality.

.......I guess it beats writing depressing poetry?

  • I think the term for this guys behaviour is "extreme emo"

  • @graph180 he gets points for originality.

  • i remember this episode from when it first aired. lol long time ago now

  • Cindy: "When we broke up, Jeremy took it pretty hard. He went a little... well..."

Peter: "Nuts? Bonkers? Monkeys? Loopy? Loony? Crackers?"

Egon: "I think we get the idea. Go ahead, pay no attention to him. We never do."

Way to put your foot in your mouth, Peter.

  • what is the episode called where they battle against some ghosts that came from a toy company???

  • When Jeremy is summoning the flute, he can be clearly heard reciting Tolkien's Ring-inscription, and then saying " Khazad-dum".

  • elvis!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ragnarok, Scandivian :D

  • What kind of Scary Flying Creatures are they at 3:25?

  • The quality of the writing in a lot of this show is as good as the quality of the animation from the intro. I wish both were married together consistently but hey - it was the 80s!

  • You nerds may notice that the mystic words he intones in that Elvis voice of his are the 'One Ring to Rule Them All' words, in the Black Speech, from The Lord of the Rings'.

  • cool! now we get into the H.P. Lovecraft inspired Ghostbuster episode

  • The Collect Call of Cathulu is one too you might wanna check into it

  • thanks! it's been a long time since i've seen it

  • 2:15; Looks pretty freaky! Kind of reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera for some reason.

  • do you se some eyes at the right bottem side

  • it's the old teletoon logo

  • It's the network's 'Logo feces' they feel the need to smear on every show on every channel these days.

  • He also did Babylon 5

  • @RuffRyda25 His heart was broken..........you do stupid things when think you're in love then think someone stomps on your heart just to hurt you........

  • I remember watching this one as a kid.Never forgot about it...this is one of those episodes that proves what a great show this really was.Why can't they write them like this anymore?

  • Does that mean Ragnarok is an Armageddon in Norse Mythology?

  • @eshakunamatata: more or less; actually it translates roughly as "Dusk of the gods", the final battle between gods and demons. All gods and demons destroy one another, to end the old time and make path for the era of mankind.

  • The castle loos simliar to the one in the first movie-Gozer's castle

  • badassery

  • I love this episode, despite Frank Welker's bizarro impersonation of Elvis. One of the top five episodes of RGB that I can still remember from my youth.

  • What in the name of the Almighty is that malevolent and sinister entity peering at Jeremy from the sky at 3:00!? He seriously creeps the Hell out of me. This is definitely one of the scarier episodes of RGB.

  • i think it's the devil!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Someone said that it's the Norse god Loki.

  • Vaguely resembles Chernabog from Fantasia.

  • WHOA WHOA HOLD ON A SECOND!!

    J. Michael Straczynski wrote for the Ghostbusters!?

The same JMS who wrote the best run of Spider-Man in years!?!

    HOLY SHIT THAT'S AWESOME!!!

  • and wrote and directed Babylon 5, I was surprised to see his name on the credits as well.

Theres a lot of quality voice talent in this series as well (Chris Latta and Frank Welker to name but two of them)

  • J. Michael Straczynski also did work for He-Man and She-Ra, as did Haim Saban

  • He also did Babylon 5.

  • This is so damned funny...he uses what sounds like the writing on the One Ring of Power from Lord of the Rings. Az naz durbatuluk....almost word for word from it from the sounds of it.

  • it is

  • The Lord of the Ring was written by JRR Tolkien. Tolkien was an expert on Old English, which comes from the Norse language, which is whats spoken here.

    Hence the similarities.

  • u mean that backwards though cause lord of the rings movies are way way way way way newer than this, they are the copiers

  • @royaltyguy420 Are you serious? The Lord of the Rings BOOKS were published in the 1950s! It's obvious that the writers of the episode read those books and used the inscription on the One Ring as the magic words!

  • @DevilMaster the lord of the ring "books" were published in the 50's NOT THE MOVIES. the movies are never quite like the books. they throw in crap. this episode has a lord of the rings feel to it. "from the movies" not the books. the books didnt show pics like this. the dude in this episode and this entire episoed looks like the lord or the rings "new" movies. this is older. just was saying that it looked like they got ideas for lord of the rings movies from this! i mean look at this episode

  • 1:16

    BITCH!

  • why does jeremy sounds so familiar?

He sounds like someone from another show?

  • Because Jeremy is Frank Welker (aka: Ray Stantz, Megatron, Fred from ScoobyDoo and about a billion other voices =P

  • Also Darkseid, Wild Bill, Torch, and Soundwave.

    The man is a legend.

  • Well, Peter sound like Garfield so you can't complain.

  • *lol* The spell was the inscription on the RING of LOTR!

  • This is one of the best episodes indeed!

  • the animation was really good...

  • course it its.. it's old school anime, back when it was good!

  • i dunno if i could call it anime. i know it was more then likely animated in asian countries, but the art direction, and swriting was done in america.

  • it was animated in japan why wouldnt it be called anime? many other US produced cartoons were animated in japan.

either way, this is one of the finer episodes of the RGB universe ^_^

  • yup, it even looks like classic Robotech and Force 5 episodes.

  • jeremy kind of reminds me of a really pissed off morissey

  • I'm hoping you or someone else can upload Egon on the Rampage. That's my favorite episode. I love the episodes when Egon gets into trouble.

  • i have it, but the quality it`s really bad,, but great episode!!!!

  • my favorite episode is the call of cthulhu

  • you mean the collect call of cthulhu

  • Man, why can't more American studios outsource their animation to Japan like they used to? South Korea just can't do low budget animation the way Japan can. Seriously, 80s American cartoons are one of the major reasons I got into anime in the first place! And now Japan outsources to Korea a lot of the time as well! :'(

  • I know, this is better than this times' anime.

  • This episode is one of the few that captured the tone of the movies perfectly. the only drawback was that dude's Elvis-ish voice.

  • Not Sumerian... I suppose it would be really Old Norse or something.

  • Great dialog regarding the Sumerian script:

Ray: "Is there any point in asking?"

    Egon: "Not really."

  • does anyone realise his "chant" is from the lord of the rings? aznagz aznagz (one ring) and kaza dum kaza dum (the bridge in moria).

i wonder if thw writer thought people would not figure it out?

  • Wow, I was dumbfounded to find that J. Michael Straczynski wrote this. :O

  • Can't wait for the new Ghostbusters game to come out in June! (All systems!)

  • I had this on VHS, i have seen this in 18 years!

  • "I HATE IT WHEN HE TALKS LIKE THAT"

Ditto I hate Elvis impersonators XD

  • wtf the guy sounds like elvis XD

  • they don't make children's cartoons like they used too i.e. totally balls awesome.

  • Totally! Great storyline in this episode.

  • can someone please help me with this: what are the top 5 scariest episodes of the real ghostbusters??????????

  • The boogeyman one is probably way up there

  • cool man, i heard knock knock is pretty sick!

  • Comment removed

  • To this day, and this is 20 something years later, some of that music gives me the creeps.

  • Wonder why the map was sideways?

  • i agree this is one of the better episodes.

  • ragnarok was the name of a gwar tour that kicked major arse!

  • heey that was the verse that Sauron carved in his master ring in the 2nd age. And Khazad Dûm is the home of the folk of Durin aka Moria

  • DiTillio...as in Larry DiTillio. Nice in-joke.

  • This is one of the scariest episodes of RGB.

Jeremy wanted to destroy the world just because he got dumped? Someone needs some therapy.

  • J.M. Straczynski never ceases to amaze

  • limewire if you dont want to pay or amazon if youre gonna pay

  • where i can get the soundtracks?

  • i haven't seen this in years, i forgot is Jeremy a ghost or just an evil guy

  • Jeremy is a regular person who has been empowered by supernatural forces to end the world.

  • I'm surprised Teletoon shown this episode!

  • He's chanting the Verse of the Ring!

And He said "Khazad-Dum" a couple of times!!!

  • Precisely what I was gonna comment XD

  • This is one of the darkest yet mature version of it's adventure themes in the history of the ghostbusters:( very disturbing indeed.

  • Beware the Jazz flute. Real Ghostbusters was ace!

  • I liked these evil ones on Ghostbusters. They would have light hearted ones for 2 or 3 days then one like this!

  • Elvis' music=End of the world?

    Many things now make sense.

  • THE 80'S RULED!!!

  • Peter's joke about Janine and about the vet made my day. LOL. And the brain joke too. :P

  • OMG, the Elvis ound-alike was turned into a gray-type alien!!!

  • this was early anime it looks like

  • Anime's been around forever. It's how the japanese drew pictures for generations. The art style has only fairly recently begun bing used in television shows since the late seventies early eighties. I thin Dragon Ball (the original series) was one of the first anime shows.

  • ...actually, Astro Boy (1955) was the first 'manga' work to achieve a high popularity, and it's show made within the decade was the first actual anime.

Anime has been around for over 50 years. The art style has been around longer.

  • Actually Anime has been around since the mid 60's.

  • Man, it would suck to be the deformed hunchback sidekick of some beautiful, brilliant, yet completely deranged scientist/ scholar. I mean, your boss would get all the girls AND all the fun of bringing monsters to life, and you'd be stuck going "yesssss, master" perpetually. And to make things worse, you'd have to listen to his annoying backstory during cutscenes, but no one would listen to your backstory, which would be far less elaborate and less interesting. What a pain!

  • oh man... this guy is insane! and he aint even supernatural

    go figure

  • Thanks 4 the memories!

  • man impersonates elivis, tries to destroy the world, thinks better of it, the end

  • "Yes Totillio this is the place. This is where it begins...and this is where it ends. Because I'm the decider! hehehe"

  • lol Master Jeremy sounds like George W Bush.

  • best episode by far. great soundtrack too.

  • God i remember this, one of my favorite episodes..music to this series was awesome!

  • Ook, I was already having enough trouble taking this guy seriously because of his accent. I was expecting the "words" to be Latin or Greek, maybe Hebrew, something like that. I was NOT expecting him to be reciting a mangled version of the Black Speech inscription on the One Ring from Lord of the Rings. Why, yes, I am a geek, why do you ask?

  • come again? are you saying that they took that speech from the lord of the rings???

  • That's Deep...lol I Didn't Know That Chant Was From Lord Of The Rings...(Mangled Nonetheless As You Say...lol

  • or lord of the rings took it from this cause I DOUBT AN 80S cartoon is taking somthing from a boring book

  • Well, You Have To Remember That The Book Was Written First. And The Writers Got Inspiration From Many Sources To Put Down The Quatables In This Cartoon. One Of The Greatest RGB Episodes Ever...:)

  • Idk I thought the movies were a big drag its like 12 hours of walking the book would prob be more boring got some great rest though ;)

  • they dont I read alot good books mostly the writer of lord of the rings doesnt hold a candle to stephen king

  • you are very ignorant on life its very fun to smoke a joint and listen to his books on tape

  • elvis or bill clinton is in ghostbusters

  • What is that evil face in the vortex?

  • good question, it could be the devil in self, ray says that someone stared the end of the world before time, and that evil face said "no! my time is come! you can´t stop me now"

  • The answer lies somewhere in Norse myths. It is most likely Surtr, a demonic force trapped by the Ghostbusters in the other cartoon.

  • Eyah this cartoon has great music. Very spooky sounding.

  • I wish I could download the music that plays at the beginning of this clip, and play it as I look out upon the city from balcony on a stormy night.

  • I was watching but had to stop cause I felt afraid (I'm alone at home) so I'll wait till family comes back n.n!

  • There's nothing locally scary about this episode. It's more scary in an "it affects all of humanity" sense.

  • i agree...

  • Egon & Peter are wearing matching jumpsuits at 5:11

  • Oooo! 666 views!

o/` Vivaaa, vivaaa las Apocalypse o/`

  • WOW-The scary part is that for years what stood out in my head was the fedora wearing man-his companion, the blonde lady-but most of all that giant evil face glaring down and getting drained away not to mention that flute.

I only saw this once too.

  • It's pretty good I guess. Still like Extreme better.

  • Extreme wasn't nearly as good as the "Real Ghostbusters"

  • no but it was a pretty creepy show at times albeit with overt pc tude i mean really a Cripple Ghostbusters,,,,,,,,really?

  • Damn, the only things I remembered about this episode was his accent and the flute, but the last time I watched it was over 13 years ago.

  • Superb. I remember taping loads of episodes of The Real Ghostbusters from Children's ITV in the 80's and I watched this one over and over 'til it drove my parents mad! Cheers

  • do you still have some? can you upload one? i loved the episode "flip side" where Egon, Ray, and Peter travel to another dimension where they deal with the peoplebusters LOL

  • How many do you have to post? I've got several episodes taped off CITV & Jetix, the quality's pretty good

  • knock knock, mr sandman drean me a dream, egon on a rampage, when halloween was forever, the boogieman comenth, but right now i´m having problems uploading, so i have to wait until my modem is fixed

  • I watched this religiously when it was on CITV, I taped lots as well. If I can dig out the old tapes I could post some.
