  • i love you

  • not bad for a girl. Just kidding. That's a great job!. Nice sounding kit as well. I use nothing but Sonor. What sonor kit is that? I think it would be better to take off those dampening rings on your toms though. Well the floor tom for sure. kick and snare sound superb. She has some skill. I am just realizing that not enough girls pick up the drums at a young age. That should change. More girls should be encouraged to play the drums.

  • Thanks

  • So so clean

  • Oh My God! This has been my only crutch, I could never figure out how to do this correctly! By just showing how to do it right I learned it instantly. I wish you were in Austin Texas so I could get lessons from you! You are on my top five drummers list!

  • You forgot to kick when you use cymbals...

  • Great tutorial! So glad I found you on here, and I can't wait to start drilling on this stuff!

  • oo man this lick sound like the one in a moder drummer video and thomas pridgen was playing, talking about how back in the past he just played licks to help him improve his chops and stuff.

  • OOPS SOMEHOW IT RESPONDED TOO MANY TIMES.

  • RRLRLLRRLRLLRRLRLLRRLRLL

    TRY THIS ONE FOR FUN!

ACCENT THE 6TH AND 1ST BEATS. rrlrlLRrlrlLR

  • RRLRLLRRLRLLRRLRLLRRLRLL

    TRY THIS ONE FOR FUN!

ACCENT THE 6TH AND 1ST BEATS.

  • RRLRLLRRLRLLRRLRLLRRLRLL

    TRY THIS ONE FOR FUN!

  • Why do i hear LRRLLRL ? seven strokes, and not LRRLLR ? six stoke? Or LLRRLL ? Where did i lost you Anna ?

  • @xalevedi the last stroke is the one again?

  • @ThisBenJams Nope, If the last one is the first stroke, the other six strokes should follow emediatly, and she stops after zeven strokes, so it is a seven stroke roll. Plus the written dots are "wrong". This is not a clear way how drumbeats are written down. I would never buy something of her, althou i'm sure she's a good drummer. She's a bad teacher.I would go for Randy Van Patten. At least he answers questions that people ask about his vids.

  • @xalevedi yo then go on with you search but if you play 1e+a2

there are 5 notes but you play 5 16th not a quintope or how theyre called

i think its the same here she plays 1-2-3-4-5-6--1 =7 notes you hear but the last one is the one again

  • @ThisBenJams No offence, but listen to what she plays, don't read the title.. She plays LRRLLRL(SEVEN beats) STOP! Then she starts again LRRLLRL (EVEN beats) She hits the drum SEVEN times, and then she starts the same thing after a the rest. How hard is this to understand? Dont put the rest between "6 and 1" because there is NONE.

In fact, an ongoing 6 stroke roll should be RLLRLR with LRRLRL and so on. But this pure individual. This roll is nice but it's a 7 stroke. No offence!

  • @xalevedi Hey Man - I tend to agree with Ben Jams. The 7th stroke is her actually going back to the one again. The Rudiment is RLLRRL accenting the singles. go to 0:36 and you will see that BenJams is actually right. Sorry bro.

  • @CrazyEvo5 Watch her vid close. This is what she does:RLLRRLR - RLLRRLR- RLLRRLR etc...She starts the R again after the seventh beat. It should be: RLLRRL - RLLRRL - RLLRRL etc... If her last stroke is the first stroke from the next roll, she teaches it wrong.

  • wow your very awesome!!

    are drummer for your profession?

  • @Goldena2011 :

Hi there!! Yes, I am a full-time drummer/ percussionist! I also teach private drum lessons. I checked out your video, you are an excellent drummer!! Keep up the good work!

    Dale Anne

  • girl drummers are awesome !!

  • this truly made my day ... thanks for the great lesson!

  • TOP DEMO,X.chaz smith,uk.

  • It's a 7 stoke roll. Never the less, well done!

  • you rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you so much! you are the first video I found to show this done slowly but clearly! =D I am very grateful thank you so much for your help from drummers such as myself.

  • This is wonderful! Great job!

  • this is THE best tutorial/lesson format, especially as it shows how sticking patterns & rudiments can be developed into endless phrases around the kit. nice to just 'peer over the shoulder' of a player.

  • Excellent video, thank you very much..

  • Loved that little funk groove at the end, very nice

  • Giiiiirl you can play! Just when I thought I had used the 6 stroke roll to death you spring some new life into it with the foot replacement idea! Love it - thank you!

  • im down with sabian cymbals, love em. not too crazy bout toms but thats just to taste. she likes muffle i like mo ring.wonder what she do fer a living? who all she plays behind in band?what type music she like to play?

  • Wooooooow exelente :)

  • Very nice! I think of this more as an inverted paraddidle-diddle instead of a six-stroke roll, but it is a great tool, and I'm trying it out. I like the ideas presented for moving it around the kit, and the way it is shown as part of a "three-cycle" fill with the accents. Now, if I can only learn it ......

  • very nice video.

She is doing the 6 stroke roll and resolving it to beat 1 which gives 7 notes, this might be confusing but is also helpful when trying to loop the thing around.

  • At start you play R LL RR L R, that to me are seven strokes?

  • Nu useless chit chat but smood teaching. 5 stars !

  • start from 0:37, i think it is more difficult than 1st one... can u teach me how?

  • once again this is an excellent lesson... many thanks

  • marry me?

  • lol i suck at drums i need a tutor.... : (

  • Excellent lessons. You remind me of a hot version of Jodie Foster.

  • you remains me steve gadd, and that is very good.

    i like your playing

  • I don't know what i'm missing, but this sounds like 7 strokes to me. That being said, it's very cool and facilitates some some great ideas. I use this concept alot on the kit...but using singles. I can see where using the doubles will make for some interesting combinations around the kit. Also, your drumming is fantastic...very smooth and relaxed! Great technique! :)

  • Your playing is so smooth... I like the way that you moved around the kit a little bit after showing the rudimental breakdown of the six stroke roll.

    I like your style.

    More videos? pleeeaasee?

  • Udapud:

Thank YOU!! You made my day with your lovely comments! I am so glad to be able to help, I wish you the best of luck with this lick and the other ideas I have posted. Thanks for favoriting those videos too!! Good luck with your drumming!

    Dale Anne

  • THANK YOU! This is the exact link thats been missing from my playing. its uses 3 as the magic number combined triplets and 4's beautifully but also links the triplets (easy speed) to the fast fills in fours which are much harder to keep going. Troya's right you certainly can make it fizz. i just wish i had my pad with me to try this one out :)

  • nice

  • Any chance on getting the exact sticking pattern for that. I notice the accents start to move about the 38 second mark of the vid, i tcant seem to get the same sound, gret stuff and thanks in advance

  • hi the sticking is as follows (capitals indicate the accent)

    R l l r r L R

  • when the accents start to change i think this is it - capitals indicate accents

    R l l r r L R l l R l l r r L R l l R

    hope it helps

  • nice!!!

  • This is superb drumming.

Great sound at 00.39 and at 1.25.

I can manage a 6 in my own time, but I cannot make it fizz like that.

    Talk to us a little.

  • BEAUTIFUL CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

  • Very good , is it important to make those big accents?

  • Can someone give me some tips on how to make my double stroke rolls sound like that when doing the sixth stroke roll? I feel like I'm missing something, because when I try to speed up to the speed she is going, you can't really hear the accents... :(

  • Hi There:

Thanks for checking out my vids. If you use the sticking: RllrrLR that will help. The lower case denotes unaccented notes. You can warm up to the lick by practising: Rll, Rll, Rll Rll, and then rrL, rrL, rrL, rrL. Then put those two things together. Try making your accents big (12 inches off the drum head) and your unaccented notes small (one inch off the head). Hope this helps! Good luck! Dale Anne

  • @daleannebrendon Haha omg I just tried that and it does help! Great vid, keep em coming!

  • I'd like to make rolls like that, you're really good, thanks for your vids ;-)

  • That was amazing!!

  • I'm happy to see you emphatized on this sticking for 6 groups.

Anyway, I've checked out your videos and I don't agree with using double kick for everything, I would only recommend it for very high speeds. People should learn have much cand be done with only one foot.

Apart from that I think your videos are very good.

    Keep on drumming!

  • wow, thats just awesome! iv got to learn that no matter what.
