Mixmasters were pioneers no doubt but you can't be honest if you think any of the mixmasters were cutting as fast as Q & Mike. It was 6 or 7 years later and styles were still advancing at a rapid rate.

Tony G, DJ M.Walk & Joe Cooley were doing that stuff in 1985. All the fast stuff they did, they got from the KDAY Mix Masters!!

Same crew, it makes sense that if they let one of them go for the singles championships they will still all work together on preparing the set. Choosing records and trying to create tricks or even techniques for the show.

like DestAIDS said they were part of the same crew at the time. hung out togther, practiced togther. I think even lived together but don't exactly remember. They've always borrowed liberally from each other.
