  • this guy is pretty funny.

And hes so mellow for a stand up, usually the good comics are more on the edge. Nice change of pace.

Im gonna try this for my nighty-night routine(along with my usual glass of jack, 3 valiums and thumbnail sized ball of hash:-).

  • Wasn't Jack the owner/operator of the beanstalk?

  • @GhastlyCretin85 Yeah- the giant ruled the world which the beanstalk happened to come into contact with. Well thats Stew Lee ruined for me... :/

  • Thanks for sharing - what was this taken from please ?

  • The funnest way to learn about other cultures is via great stand-up. What's even more cool is how similar we all really are despite growing up oceans apart.

His voice reminds me of Seinfield, in that he's already funny before the punchline. I assumed Stewart was going to be an angry man going ballistic. I was ever so wrong. His uber-calm observations of the little things and huge scary issues are all spot-on. Even his intro was unique.

This Yankee's a new fan of Brit Stewart Lee.

  • One of the best things I love about Stewart is how he drags out a joke until every single person gets it no matter how long it gets.

  • The laugh at 6:25 sounds exactly like Jim Broadbent's

  • This guy's comedy is so dry, I find him frickin hilarious..but I'm not sure why! loll

  • 41st? Dudes top 5 in my opinion

  • Master of the small audience.

And that wasn't a dwarf joke.

  • @zenzombie72

    Yes it was :)

  • read his book -' the life and deaths of a stand-up comedian' the thought that goes into his sets is incredible

  • best comic around

  • I love his little cough as he prepares himself to deliver his wife's joke

  • I love his little cough as he prepares himself to deliver his wife's joke

  • Owner operator of an enchanted beanstalk! lol - Brilliant!

  • 2 and half minuets talking about his mum making quilts...and every second is comedy gold! only stewart lee and a few select few can do this. a master of the craft at work.

  • no comedian can control the audience in the way he does

  • What a wonderful man.

  • Gotta love Stewart Lee. If you don't get his comedy it's very much your own fault, he isn't slowing down for you. He is, after all, the 41st best standup comedian of all time. Or 40th, because Bernard Matthews died recently, of hate.

  • @jacksawild I don't know if that was intentional or not (Bernard Matthews, as opposed to Bernard Manning), but it made me laugh!

  • @JimShadyUK He did say Bernard Manning

  • @sjmorton Stew did, but jacksawild said Matthews. For the record, I consider Matthews to be a better comedian than Manning.

  • FYI, I Googled it, and Quillows are indeed a real thing. Brilliant.

  • lol seeing tom o'conner do stand up on a cruiz isnt even a dream of tom o'conner, brilliant and probably true ;)

  • This is the best I've seen him, the tv bits I've seen him in use a lot of the same content but it seemed forced and funny. Just all natural here.

  • channel 4 just did an update of the program and stewart had gone up to 12th. good to see the world is getting better.

  • he is so fucking good! lol

  • Going to see him next month, yay! Check out his Joe Pasquale joke

  • This is pure gold

  • Hahahaha! That was fucking awesome! I have a new comic idol!

    Legend!

  • Making a joke out of the audience not laughing at a joke is genius.

  • its a giant innit.

  • so slow and quiet amazingly funny.

  • That's a sea-based illness.

  • Wow the whole beanstalk bit was incredibly funny

  • hahaha dry as desert sand paper
